“Perfect day out”
Reviewed June 7, 2014

The sun is out and the river flowing peacfully on it's way, a walk round the Abbey then a nice coffee in the cafe. A walk accross the road and a trip round the Abbey museum (free if you are a member of the friends of the leeds museums).
A perfect day out

“Oasis of Calm”
Reviewed May 31, 2014 via mobile

Just a few miles from Leeds City Centre, this glorious abbey is set in lovely grounds, just next to the River Aire. An excellent Visitor Centre and Cafe plus a museum just adjacent makes this a great trip out. Parking is abundant and the whole experience is free. Home to Kirkstall Deli Market on the last Saturday and Sunday of each month.

“Worth a visit”
Reviewed May 28, 2014 via mobile

If u like historical sites its definately impressive. Lovely big grounds all around the abbey so nice for family picnics etc. Great if you have kids as well as plenty of space to run around. Museum and shop just across the road from the abbey.
