I will always be glad that there are people out there who keep our heritage alive. It is both an enjoyable and educational plaxce to visit.

Wonderful museum, very helpful staff and great exhibits. Don't miss the spinning machine demonstration, a great insite into the history of spinning and cloth manufacturing where Leeds made it's money. There is plenty besides the spinning and weaving machines to see including a lovely little cinema, a selection of industrial locomotives and a house showing the difference between a mill owner and a mill workers house.
Only one minor issue, no cafe, but there are vending machines on site or a choice of restaurants within 5 minutes walk.

Quite an underachiever this. The history of Leeds and its industrial heritage are explained very wall. Within 10 mins drive from city centre.

We hired the conference room for our wedding celebrations. The staff bent over backwards to help us get our things into the room. Lesley the lady in charge was fabulous, she allowed us to use the small staff kitchen as well as the one down stairs for our caterer to use, she moved furniture for us and was so organised. She even suggested that we use the small 1920's cinema to show our weding video to the guests. Everyone said what a great museum it was, with so much to see, many of us had never visited it before and were amazed at the size of the museum and the great exhibits. Can't thank the staff enough for helping us have a "Perfect day" Would definitely recommend the museum for its own sake and also as a party/meeting/venue.
