We stayed at Malmaison Leeds as a present for my girlfriend's birthday. We don't tend to stay in expensive hotels much, but we were very impressed.
Check-in took a while as there was a big group in front of us, but the reception staff did their best to serve us quickly.

We had an evening meal which was delicious and the service was faultless. It was all cooked and presented perfectly. When inquiring about desert wines the waiter was very knowledgable and brought over free samples so we could try.

The room was amazing. Not huge, but right for a couple. The bed was very comfy and the ceiling was very high with large windows looking out onto the city. The decor was very elegant and we both had an excellent nights sleep.

Recommended for anyone who frequents decent hotels or fancies a treat.

Spent a night and it was a good night's sleep having been told that evening my job was being made redundant!

Decent room, loved the cryptic "dare you to take me home" on the shampoo in the bathroom.

Good value for money!

I stayed here for the weekend with a friend for her birthday. Its not as plush as some of the other Malmaison Hotels I have stayed in. However, it was good value for money and the rooms were clean and comfortable.
The staff in the bar and at breakfast were really helpful and friendly. Reception staff knew the area and were on hand to help with directions.
As I said not as plush as others I have stayed in but never the less was a nice hotel to stay in and would recommend it if you are planning a trip to Leeds.

Booked on an Easter special offer which included, room, evening meal and cocktail.
Cannot fault this hotel, rooms were nicely decorated, clean, staff friendly and helpful, food was from a set menu but was fine.
The hotels location is within walking distance of station and next to a large car park

Would recommend to anyone, especially with the special offers they always have on offer

I booked the hotel in order to attend a conference at the Royal Armouries. It was an excellent choice and it was than a ten minute walk along the canal. I would really recommend it.

The hotel itself is as good as all the others in the Malmaison group - well appointed, great bar and food and top of the line service.

The room I had was average size at the back of the hotel overlooking the canal, which meant it was wonderfully quiet rather than overlooking the road.

I ate in the hotel restaurant with a colleague one evening and the food was particularly good and reasonable value. We both had cod but prepared in different ways.

The car parking is less than a five minute walk and is discounted by the hotel to about £12 per night. There is a loading bay immediately in front of the hotel to allow for loading and unloading of luggage and passengers.

One point to note is the hotel is on a one way street with entrance at an oblique angle to the street so it can be easy to miss. If driving, be careful not to miss it or it is a long drive back around the one way system to get back there.

Room Tip: If you want a quiet room, ask for one overlooking the canal
