I booked this hotel as a base for the Suede gig we were going to at Leeds Academy. Ideally I wanted to stay in the Premier Inn close by to the Academy, but the prices seem to have rocketed since the opening of Leeds Arena which is virtually opposite that particular hotel.
Anyway, this hotel is a bout 10 minutes walk from Leeds station and very easy to find on foot. (Leeds Academy is around 20 mins walk away).
The twin room I booked was large and clean and the shower in the bathroom was fantastic.
Very comfy bed, no noise whatsoever from the surrounding area, which was surprising given it's location near the road. Our room was on the ground floor looking onto the car park, but we heard nothing.
I'll always choose Premier Inn ahead of the other budget hotels if possible, and this one was top notch.

Only a stroll away from the City Centre but not City Centre prices. Comfortable, clean and with friendly staff. TGIF next door is a good restaurant for either the business traveller or the family. Make sure you ask for a room at the back as the rooms at the front can be noisy as it is on the main route out of the City Centre.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are quieter

We stayed here for one night to spend some time in Leeds and look round the University. Location-wise, it's great - about a 15-20 minute walk away from the shops or five minutes on the 72 bus (much needed when you have huge bags of shopping) which stops just outside and cost us £1.10 each..

The room was pretty much the same as every other Premier Inn we've stayed in, clean and well maintained and it did look like they'd been quite newly redecorated.

We were on the ground floor and did have quite a lot of noise disruption from what sounded like a family with younger children running and jumping upstairs. At times it sounded like they were doing Riverdance up there and our light fitting was rattling. Having said that, we didn't complain as we only noticed it for an hour before we went out and once we returned, they must have gone to bed. So just a word of warning that you might want to ask for a top floor room.

The only other down side was breakfast, which is served in the linked TGI Friday premises. This was completely chaotic - people seemed to be waiting round for plates, cups, coffee, food etc, with the staff running round trying to help. I should say that I don't, for one minute, think the staff could have done more but the set up of the restaurant itself that caused the problems. I've always been really impressed with Premier Inn breakfasts, and the food itself was decent here, just the organisation let them down.

The staff were lovely. Everyone from the cleaners to reception staff seemed really friendly and welcoming. I'd like to say a special thank you to Joanne and Wendy on reception, as when we arrived we were in a bit of a state after having collided with a car that had been going the wrong way down the motorway slip road and failed to stop. They spent quite a while looking up where the nearest police station was for us and drawing us a map of how to get there so we could report the incident. They made an incredibly stressful time a lot easier.

So in summary, ask for a top floor room, avoid the breakfast chaos and you can't go far wrong.

Wonderful stay - best staff ever in a hotel. So helpful and friendly. Very clean and quiet room. Only there for one night-tapas and cocktails at TGI - lovely!! Never stayed in Premier before but will definitely be doing so again. Much better than I expected.

I stayed here for 4 nights Monday to Friday. The room was a good size, clean, large tv, shower with great water pressure, heating and air con. No complaints about the room at all. Excellent sleep quality, comfortable beds and hardly any external noise at all.

The only complaint I have is about TGI Fridays at breakfast time. On 3 out if the 4 mornings they had run out of things. One day it was plates, another day it was glasses and one day they had simultaneously run out of orange juice, hash browns, bacon, sausage and eggs! I have never experienced so many things running out anywhere. The food quality was ok, nothing spectacular but certainly more than edible.

Also a previous reviewer said there were no vending machines but there were vending machines in reception right near the main door.

Location was good, about 10 minutes walk to the train station and 15 minutes to the main centre. I would recommend staying here.

Last minute booking for a trip to visit university of Leeds. Lovely quad room, comfy beds and very quiet even though room overlooking a busy road. 10 min walk to the trinity shopping centre with a Lego store to interest our 10 year old and only 5 min drive to a Hollywood bowl. Was a 20 min walk to the university the next day but got to see the centre on the way.

Staying here on business. Just OK and this Premier has a TGI Friday as the on site "restaurant" which although handy, when I ate in there around 6pm this evening it was vey noisy and whilst "background" music can be pleasant this was only slightly less than nigjtclub level. I had an appertiser which was replaced with the main course at exactly the same time my appertiser plate was removed - no chance to draw breath! Premier room the norm, friendly staff but I was not impressed by TGIs. One point this Premier does not have a cash machine or vending machine. Probably this Premier, of all the Premiers I have stayed in is the only Premier I would not return to.

Thank you for your review, we are very disappointed to hear of your experience in the adjoining restaurant TGI Fridays, I will pass your feedback on to the restaurant manager. At Premier Inn it remains our objective to deliver a high standard of service in our hotels, not all sites have cash machines or vending machines, this all depends on the age of the hotel etc. However here at Leeds City Centre we do provide two vending machines and a free water machine in the reception area.
Thank you for taking the time to review your stay here at Leeds City Centre Premier Inn
