Arrived at 1pm, check in time wasn't till 2pm. Room was ready so they let us check in early. Really surprised to see how nice the room was. Large flat screen T.V. Nicely decorated and spotless clean. Plenty of tea, coffee, and hot chocolate and additional toiletries in the bathroom. The staff were very nice and helpful. We decided to eat in the hotel restaurant . Table for two, set 3 course meal for only £15.99. The meal was lovely, lots of choice and we couldn't finish it all.
Would highly recommend this hotel. Bus stop outside takes you into the centre of Leeds in 15 minutes. Very reasonably priced, so will be booking again in the next few weeks. Leeds great for Christmas shopping.

Hope you didn't spend all your money at the Leeds shops but you are right there is an exceptional choice. Hope to see you again. Gordon

We selected the Corn Mill Lodge Hotel due to its close proximitay to Kirkstall Brewery (10 minutes away) where our daugther has university accomodation. As we will be making a number of visits over the next 3 years we need somewhere reasonably priced, quiet at night and comfortable, with safe parking. This hotel certainly fits the bill. At £55.95 for two of us including breakfast and a nice ensuite room with good tea making facilities we will definatley return, although we would perhaps ask for a twin room as a standard double bed is a little tight when your used to sleeping in a larger bed. For a saturday night this was the best priced hotel in the area. The hotel is in North West Leed so if approaching on the M62 you can avoid the city centre which saves a lot of time. The breakfast was slightly limited (scrambled eggs only on weekends) but for the price thats fine, the totally self service breakfast was well cooked and piping hot. Slight negative for us was that the hotel was hosting a wedding reception so the main restaurant was not availble for meals, the smaller retaurant is not as nice, so we ate out. Next time if the main restaurant is available we will try it out, as the menu looked reasonable. On a final note the outside paved terrace area is very attractive and ideal to catch the late afternoon sunshine and enjoy a couple of beers!

You should try the small restaurant, it is more intimate and some diners do prefer it. See me on your next visit and i will show you around both rooms. Thank you. Gordon

I recently stayed at the cornmill lodge and having booked it a week before, when we arrived we were shown to a room that hadny been serviced.
We then approached the receptionist who told us there was no other rooms, only to offer other guests other rooms....
There was no apology from the receptionist and no customer service with regards to our room.

Very occassionally we miss a room off the cleaning list, with 75 rooms it will happen from time to time, however unfortunate this is.

In this case we were fully booked with only one smoking room left so changing rooms was not an option.

The waiting time for this guest was 10 minutes, maybe on reflection we should have offered a cup of tea or coffee in the restaurant whilst waiting, sorry.

I am told the receptionist did say sorry and apologised at the time.

This guest has since been in touch with the general manager via two emails about this 10 minute wait. I do wonder what the guest is looking for?

Stayed here with hubby for 1 night on a Saturday night.Arrived 10pm, wouldn't exactly say the receptionist gave us a warm friendly reception, but sufficient! Was apprehensive as I knew our room was described as an attic room with limited headroom. This want as bad as expected. Room nice and clean.Comfy bed and a brilliant blind on the skylight which blocked out ALL light. There was a wedding reception that night but we weren't disturbed by noise.TV was rather old and big looking.Shower cubicle could do with a better clean and as I discovered it doesn't empty very quickly at all! Reported to reception on leaving. Breakfast was included in our stay, it wasn't anything spectacular but good all the same. The outdoor area looked well kept with lovely floral decorations.Overall we were very happy with our stay at the price. Would use this hotel again.

these so called attic rooms are our budget rooms, but good value all the same. They are on the top floor and do have a slopping roof at one side with a double bed. Breakfast is free of charge on a weekend and consists of a continental breakfast plus bacon, sausage, egg, mushroom, grilled tomatoes and hash browns (help yourself style). Not bad is it.

My cousin and myself booked this hotel for a two night stay over a weekend, and we was welcomed very warmly by a lady on the reception desk who checked us in, gave us our key and directed us to our room! We found our room very nice and homely as we did the reception, the room was very clean and decorated very nicely too! The bathroom was spotless and I must say the bath was one of the best baths ever, quite deep for having a good soak and runs very quickly too which comes in handy when you realise you've only got two hours to get ready (very hard with two girls who need a bath, do makeup etc) so the quick running bath came very useful!! At a weekend the breakfast was served between 8am and 930am which we didn't find too early after our nights on the town! The food was delicious and served in a buffet style of a weekend, offering the choice between continental and full english breakfast!! We really enjoyed our weekend at the hotel finding all the staff on reception aswell as the night porters very helpful when we rolled back into the hotel in the early hours! As we booked the hotel for an engagement party of our friends which was in town, we've decided we will be more than happy and looking forward to booking the hotel again to stay for the wedding!
