The title of the review pretty much says it all. The room I had was OK - clean, with a nice bathroom, but the mattress on the bed provided no support whatsoever - after a few minutes it was very uncomfortable as a result, since your spine sank into a very poor posture - I woke up during the night and seriously considered lying on the floor instead (which I would have done if it wasn't so cold that night). After a fitful night I woke (a couple of hours earlier than planned) with a very painful back (it's still sore!) and as a result will not go back to Quebecs. If you have never slept on a very soft matress before then be aware of this feature of the hotel before you book.
The rest of the hotel was OK - staff were polite, bathroom clean, breakfast OK. In my opinion, though, is a case of the hotel prioritising "image" over "substance" - a good night's sleep is essential for a hotel and no amount of wood pannelled-libraries and stained-glass windows makes up for having decent quality matresses that suit the majority of your paying guests.
(Oh, and the room was also quite noisy - if I had been able to sleep despite the matress problem, then I'd have found it annoying having the sound of traffic from the main road outside going on all night).More
