“Central Location Boutique Hotel”
Reviewed March 25, 2013 via mobile

Travelled by train to Quebecs in Leeds, very easy to access from the station.

Rooms are well proportioned and well specced, service levels good and hotel feels comfortable rather than cavernous and bland.

Likely to return when back in Leeds.

A great hotel ., Carol ( or Caroline ) at check- in was awesome ( and still there at 3 am making sure the next day and events were all in order ) tried to get us into restaurants and advised on others . The room was lovely , great bathroom . Ample mini bar , slippers and robe .

Nice place for an honesty bar up the fairly grand staircase , although next week they are opening an on site bar , its just being decorated . Like the list of extras u could have , wine etc... all in the room chilled and waiting as well as paying the discount rate for Breakfast .... but only paying if you go . So many times we've paid for Breakfast and missed it ! Great place , excellent location and a friendly staff !

As you enter the foyer of this stunning listed building there's a sense of calm quiet and comfort in opulent surroundings. An antique desk sits snugly at the foot of a sweeping staircase overlooked by a magnificent glass leaded wall.
A friendly relaxed yet efficient check in as your bags are delivered to your room. 48 including several suites.
Rooms which are again opulent and well equipped . ,,
After a great nights sleep a full Yorkshire breakfast with fresh fruit ,yoghurt and muffin, award winning for sure. We had ours in the room but the breakfast room is delightful.
In any other city you would pay £200 .
The only place to stay in Leeds.
Parking is difficult for most hotels in Leeds city centre , Quebecs do have around 9 spaces around the back of the hotel, but its first come first served, however disabled badge holders can reserve a space.

This was my 3rd visit to Quebecs in the last 3 months, once for pleasure and twice on business. It's perfectly located a short walk from the station and in the thick of everything. The staff are very helpful (especially Caroline) and always make me feel at home when I return. In fact on the last 2 stays I have been upgraded, which is always much appreciated! The rooms are showing signs of age and are due to be refurbished, but I hope they lose none of their grandeur as they are spectacular. Unfortunately, the downstairs bar wasn't finished on my last visit in February - but maybe by my next trip it will be. I can't recommend highly enough the restaurant below the hotel, Sous le nez - great food and ambience - even if you are dining alone. Can't wait to go back to Quebecs and I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Leeds.

Spent a great weekend in this hotel. Photo of front door does not do it justice; interior is highly impressive, wood panelling, beautiful stained glass ceiling height windows, original features & period atmosphere. Couldn't fault any aspect of the environment; comfortable, clean room with beautiful bathroom, well-equipped first floor room. Hotel is well-organised and you couldn't help but relax there. Fully recommended. Near to station & city centre. Would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: Back-facing is probably quieter than street-facing

This was my second visit to Quebec's and I stayed for four nights. The hotel is centrally located, moments from the train station and just a short walk from great bars, restaurants and the main shopping area.

I cannot fault the staff at this hotel; polite, friendly and unfailingly helpful - they bent over backwards to sort out a couple of minor niggles for me and really made the difference to my stay in Leeds. (A special mention to Caroline) The building itself is stunning - a red brick beauty with a wealth of panelling and amazing stained glass windows. There is an honesty bar every evening, however if you're looking for lobby action this is probably not the hotel for you (though I did notice that a bar is being built on the ground floor so that may change). Breakfast was great. Room service fine too. My room was pleasant, very clean with an extremely comfortable bed, though looking slightly tired (the only reason I didn't give it five out of five). I had a roomy bathroom, fluffy towels, robes and an endless supply of piping hot water. All in all a good hotel, great value and I would highly recommend it.

Stayed in the play fair suite for my husbands 40th - was just the perfect place for a romantic evening. The suite was just beautiful and the bed so comfy. Had a lovely meal out in Leeds then headed back to the hotel - made full use of the robes and slippers, iPod dock , the hotel staff had put our champagne on ice for us. The snow was falling in leeds and we had the perfect view from our sitting area in the turret of the hotel. A very magical night away for us. Will be booking again soon :-)
