I came here last summer to see a day of an England test and it was a great afternoon out.
Parking in the local area is pretty accessible for free and you can walk to it in around 10 minutes.
There isn't a bad seat in the ground and there's always a great atmosphere when England are playing.
You really do need the weather for these things but there's not much you can do if it rains!

Had the fortune to be invited to this years test match and eat, drink & be merry in the facility across the road from the ground, hosted by Yorkshire CCC staff.

First impressions were cramped on entering the suite upstairs however within a couple of minutes I realised my fears were misplaced. Staff were courteous and helpful with a real genuine ability to make you feel welcome. Food was above what I'd expected and wasn't the usual cold and sparse corporate efforts I'm used to at other sporting venues (Ascot being the worst culprit) and I'd hazard a guess that it was freshly prepared by a Chef rather than a KP or Catering Assistant. Only niggle was a couple of warm bottles of lager but the ice did the trick so no big issue and I wasn't footing the bill so I can't complain too much.

The cricket was OK too.

I've been a member of Yorkshire CCC for a number of years and up until now Headingley has not been up to scratch from the point of view of facilities, catering etc. This time round, however, I was pleasantly surprised at the improvements that have been made. Makes for a great day out.
