This is definitely the worst venue for Tests/ International cricket that I have been to. I may have been unlucky having seats in the out of date (and quite possibly out of health and safety compliance) Main Stand. The seats were so cramped I did not feel able to move out of mine and push past others more than once to get a beer - tragic for a cricket match. I was staring at the monstrosity that is the new stand and wondered how much money has been spent on it and why some was not put towards decent signage around the ground? The instructions on the back of the ticket were not good enough and once inside the ground I had to ask three stewards to find my seat. Worse still, was the lack of direction to the place where Black Sheep was being sold - I had to make do with the inferior Tetley dish water. If I were the marketing manager for the Black Sheep brewery I would be back to YCCC to discuss this pronto. Can't wait to get back to Lords in two weeks' time.

When i walked up the steps into the ground i was taken aback by how close i was to the field of play. It feels very intimate no need for binoculars here! If you want a peaceful day i suggest you dont get tickets in the west stand where it tends to be more "lively". There is plenty of good quality food stands with plenty of choice. The staff are very pleasant and helpful too. The ladies toilet were lovely and clean with no queues, very important. I have been before and would definitely go again.

The ground is amazing and nothing more can be said. Food is very pricey and so is alcohol. I recommend taking your own food or using one of the small cafes a couple of minutes walk from the ground. If it is raining walk round into the rugby stand and sit under cover. No charge and not many people know you can do it so there are always plenty of seats in there if it is raining.

Stunning building, best seen in the winter for the Christmas craft stalls and Christmas tree. Much quieter in teh summer months. Great coffeee shop on the ground floor.
