When I was told about Fazenda, where we dined on Christmas Eve, I had no idea what to expect, and was understandable sceptical. All I was told was that "you'll love it". This was completely the case, as I absolutely loved my evening dining here!
The way the restaurant works involves an open salad bar (one of the best, if not the best, range of food I've ever seen on a salad bar), and a number of waiters who walk around the restaurant bringing various different joints of meat on giant skewers to each table. They ranged from steaks, lamb, gammon, pork and more, and were all cooked in various tasty ways.
When presented with each type of meat, you had the choice whether to accept a slice or not by turning your coaster to the green/red side, which I thought was a very clever idea. I must have had about 10 different types of meat during the evening, all of which ranged from very good to delicious. The waiters were all very friendly and came by our table frequently to offer us more food.
The restaurant itself is in a prime location in central Leeds, and is a very pleasant place to enjoy your meal. With Brazil hosting two major sporting events over the next few years, the staff at Fazenda are doing a sterling job increasing their country's reputation with this fantastic restaurant!
I have to admit that I didn't pay, so can't comment on the value for money, but the portions, atmosphere and service were all excellent. I would recommend Fazenda to anyone, and hope that they open more restaurants across the UK in the very near future!!
