As soon as we set foot into this place we seemed lost, nothing was in any order items were scattered all over. You have to be a great enthusiast for weapons and armoury otherwisw I wouldn't bother.
The tournament gallery which is outside is well worth a look and is enjoyable.
On the plus side its free to get in so you can spend as little or as long as you like without wasting money if you dont like it.
A couple of eating places although the menu lacked choice.

I visited the royal armeries with my 2 younger brothers, although i wasnt full of excitement.. they certainly seemed to enjoy it.. there were lots for them to look at, watch & keep them engaged for a good few hours. The building is clean & very modern. Staff are friendly, free entry makes it a great day out!

Staff presentations were really neat and you cant complain about FREE! Armor exhibit was the most interesting to us and the two handed sword and dressing in armor demonstrations were great. Top floor was closed but was told this was the second best part of the museum. Middle two floors (guns and hunting) were interesting but not attention grabbing like other areas.

I had some time spare so I took a wander around for an hour. Some very interesting displays but a shame the 5th floor was out of commission due to work being done.
