“Nicely done”
Reviewed February 2, 2013

I must admit, I do normally like this type of thing to be housed in the correct settings, which also give you the ambiance of the time etc. But this collection is housed in a very modern museum, which for me let it down a bit, but having said that, it was a fantastic collection and presented in a very good way, and best of all it was free. I can recommend, it is also very good for the disabled.

“Beyond what we expected as a family day out”
Reviewed February 2, 2013

From the moment you walk towards to you know you're in for something special and different.

Stunning structure, modern architecture, centrally located, parking a penny's throw away, huge grand entrance Indiana Jones style!

Superb displays, richness of information, displays on a grand scale, the past brought to life, the treasures that would have been lost and forgotten kept in pride, talks and walks.

A well recommended day out. We were a family of mum, dad and our 2 teens (18 year and 15 year old).

“Elephant armour”
Reviewed January 31, 2013

Fantastic museum.
Is what it says, a museum about weapons, but it has talks, shows and presentations.
Best things, elephant armour and duck cannon.

“Educating Phoebe”
Reviewed January 28, 2013

A most educating and enjoyable half day spent watching and engaging in sword play, with wooden weapons, admiring the huge set pieces set out on the top floor before spending more then intended in the well stocked shopping area..
