the food and service i'm affraid was really dissapointing, frankly the worst tapas i have ever eaten after the dissapointment of being served frozen processed fries, frozen processed prawns tasteless meatballs, and something that did not even resemble authentic chorizo my dinner companion and I were rudely intterupted by a a member of waitress staff half way through our meal demanding a credit or debit card because, we were informed there had been "incidences of customers walking away without paying".....totally insulting i would never recommend this place to anyone.. sorry Azucar terrrible experience.

We used to go to Azucar lots when it first opened and the tapas was delicious. However, after going there a couple of times recently I can't say that we will be going again. The food and service is nowhere near the quality it used to be. The menu now seems to consist of deep fried food garnished with iceberg lettuce (no dressing). The tapas which is not fried is mostly covered in tinned chopped tomatoes with no seasoning whatsoever. A real shame as it is nowhere near as good as it once was. Avoid, there are much better places to eat in Leeds.

Food was really nice but you do need to keep an eye on the service. We ordered 18 dishes for our party and 3 of them were missing and came in 2 separate lots when we pointed this out. It is very easy not to notice due to the number of dishes on the table. The food however was very tasty and 3 dishes per person was about right. Also the menu states that tapas are half price on Sundays but it turns out, according to a waitress, or the manager, that this is not the case. We did get them for half price.
It just seems that the staff are on the make and this did spoil the experience a little

First time here and I'll never be going back. It took an hour and a half from ordering our food to the food actually arriving. When the food did arrive it was terrible. I've never been so disappointed in a meal.

I've been here a couple of times before and enjoyed it. However, went for Father's Day - what a mistake!! We ordered our food, to be told after 20 mins that there was no rice - the waitress then came back after another 10 mins to ask what my brother wanted instead of rice as she'd forgotten he'd ordered rice as well!! Food came, it was ok, nothing special. We asked for the bill, when it came, it was £150 for 5 people - 2 of which were kids! When we checked, they had charged us for an extra bottle of wine and hadn't taken 50% off for the tapas offer. She told me that they didn't offer that any more but it was still on the menu. She told us we should have been told before we ordered but as we weren't, would take it off. The bill them came to £95 with a £12 service charge! As we were the only ones in the place, we didn't think that the service charge reflected the service we had had (the waitress had checked our order 4 times). In summary, avoid at all costs!!!!
