“Comfortable”
Reviewed February 9, 2014

The hotel was in a great location for where I needed to be and everything was clean and fairly nice. I had a few issues with my room, there were tea and coffee items, but no kettle to make them. The iMac TV kept turning itself on in the middle of the night and scrolling through all the channels, in the end I just yanked the cord out, and forgot to mention it until I checked out. Some of the towels I had, were covered in makeup and I wasn't sure if they were clean or not, I just discarded these for the spare towel. Other than that the hotel room was actually really nice and a great location, I was more than comfortable and well rested each morning

We were lucky enough to win a one night stay in a City Suite at this hotel and were generously upgraded to the same suite for the second night of our visit without extra charge. We were impressed with the service and the room - particularly the free internet access. We would also like to thank the housekeeper who provided extra packets of biscuits for the teddy bears accompanying us on this trip!

I have visited DT twice on business trips. The hotel is a fairly new building and the rooms are very modern and in excellent condition. Overall, the entire hotel is very clean, even compared to several other high rated hotels in the area.

What makes this hotel an excellent place is their staff - the people at the reception, the staff in the restaurant, room service, housekeeping and the hotel's managers are all doing a great job. They are all very helpful and naturally friendly. You will really see what I mean if you often spend several nights in a row in a hotel. Special thanks to Jesus, a waiter from the hotel's restaurant, who is a very caring and kind person and impressed both my fiancée and myself very much.

The bottom line is, the staff and guest service manager Paul John should be recognized for their professionalism and performance. In my personal opinion, this hotel is the best option in the area, even compared to higher rated hotels. I visited on business trips but appears to be a great place for families with children as well.

Personally I can highly recommend the Doubletree in Leeds.

Room Tip: The standard queen guest rooms are excellent - clean, modern furniture, comfy bed. Overall, the buil...

This hotel is central but located on Granary Wharf so it's in a more peaceful area. The restaurant was nice and breakfast was good. Clean spacious rooms. As per Doubletree custom, the warm cookie on arrival was very welcome!

Room Tip: Try to get a view over the canal if possible when booking.

We booked this hotel as a treat for my wedding anniversary as we read the reviews and were impressed with what we read.
The hotel car park has limited spaces and its on a first come basis as spaces are very limited £12 seems fair enough and its the same price as the public car park which is just up a way.
Checking in was good and was we were given our complimentary Double Tree cookies.
The room was OK but not what we expected as it seemed smaller than some of the other hotel rooms in Leeds we have stayed in previously.
The lifts were on their own time scale and agenda I was waiting for a lift on our floor pressed the call button and then watched as each lift went past my floor.. Hardly express lifts.
When we got in our room we needed a cuppa however the Kettle was bust, we phoned housekeeping and it was replaced very quickly which was good.
The "Sky Lounge" the bar at the top of the hotel is used by both guests and non guests and it was very busy and quite noisy you can reserve tables if you need to sit whilst its busy otherwise its standing only. Again the lifts were on their own thing and people were seen standing waiting for 10 mins.
The bedding was adequate and clean but be advised the pillows are feather down with thicker topper style cases.
We decided to have breakfast brought to our room and opted for the continental option £11.95 with an additional £4 tray charge for bringing it to the room. The fruit salad was fresh enough however the toast was brought up in folded napkins so wasn't crunchy as you expect toast to be but turned out soggy. The coffee must have come from the bottom of the black lagoon as it was the color of oil and tasted bitter. And I am still puzzled as to why there was a need to have pots of Ketchup, Mayo and Salt and Pepper on a tray that had toast and cereal on it...
Checking out was painless and we were able to keep the car in the car park whilst we headed into Leeds for some shopping.
Overall there are hotels in Leeds that offer better rooms and services for the same price as we experienced.

This hotel is perfect for. Great night out. The is a great pub, The Hop, next door as well as Fazenda, a wonderful Brazilian restaurant. Then add the Sky Bar located on the top of the hotel and you have a great evening just steps away from each other.

The room was lovely and clean. Hot, fresh cookies at check in and a good selection of coffee and teas in the room make a great start.

The toiletries are very nice, the water very hot and the bedding nice and fluffy.

Free wifi is icing on the cake.

No complaints yet again!

We chose this hotel on convenient access to Station, wedding ,reception, and city centre .all spot on .We also got the bonus of convenience choice of exalant places to eat and drink where a lot of money had been spent on a old canal and walks.and a value for money breakfast if you paid the night before.

Room Tip: I think all rooms should be fairly quite
