Had a great stay this week at this hotel. Really great staff, specifically Carlos from Spain (Valet). Great guy. Got a junior suite - room was comfortable. The funky Mac computers are cool, but there are better TVs out there. GREAT restaurants next store including LIvinItaly. I would definitely go back. Service was great - cookies = awesome. Highly recomend

Room Tip: Quiet corner room if possible.

We booked this hotel to accommodate a hen's night and it was spot.
It's only a couple of years old and the rooms look modern, sleak and very clean. Bathrooms are a great size too with lovely Crabtree and Evelyn products.
All rooms have iMacs for TVs/free internet and there is free wi-fi in the hotel also.

The top floor is a lovely bar with view over Leeds but be warned that on weekends it turns into a nightclub in the evenings. I was on the third floor so there was no noise issue but I'm sure the rooms closer would have heard the thudding of dance music.

We got a deal for 65 pounds per room - totally worth it.

Stayed for two nights as a family. Room rate was not the cheapest, but liked the fact you can an adjoining room for kids at ½ rate which means you are not all crowded in together.

Room standard, not much better than a Premier Inn, and there was only a shower in the bathroom. In the rooms and corridors that we came across you could see a lack of attention to relatively minor and easy to fix details in maintenance. Apple Mac in rooms a hit with the kids, so useful when adults need some downtime.

On the first night, aircon was not working in one room and couldn't leave window open overnight due to noise from rail station. (Note: when windows closed, you cannot really hear the station). Notified hotel and nothing was done until I reminded them the following day. We then moved rooms for the second night. Customer service was polite, but unfortunately a bit like dealing with an off-shore call centre with almost everything being ... I just need to speak to my manager, or can you repeat that please?

Thought the location was great, near the canal, with some small restaurants/bars nearby. Easy walking access to city centre (which is stag and hen party central) so that bit of distance probably meant we didn't get as much late night hustle and bustle as we might have had, had we stayed in the centre. Loved the Skylounge on the 13th floor, but again the location is very much reflected in the price of the drinks.

Good range on offer at breakfast, but restaurant very noisy and a bit chaotic. For once it was not my kids making the racket, but groups of adults comparing notes from the night before! I suppose on the positive, it blotted out the "piped muzak" that seems to be played in many of the communal areas.

Don't see the point of the "welcome cookie" (which was delicious) if all you have to wash it down with is cheap instant coffee in the room!

Would consider other hotels in this area, should I visit Leeds again (great city) but would only consider this one if I could get a lot better room rate

So we were having a lads night out in Leeds but deciding we did not want to get the last Train home we decided to book a hotel and make a night of it. We found this hotel on Trivago and booked it 2 weeks before and we all got a great rate it was cheaper to stay here B&B than many other places in the city room only. We were early arriving but the hotel let us leave our bags so we did not have to drag them to the pub. The check in was fast a bit too fast as we were not told what time breakfast was being served the next morning but we were a bit oiled by then. The room was of good standard on the 4th floor overlooking the canal basin and with the window open you could hear the odd train but it did not matter after a night out and a few sociable beers!! The Apple TV worked well to keep me entertained while getting ready, the room also contained a iron and board which was good for ironing the shirt again before going out. Breakfast was buffet style with quite a lot to offer from fruit to the full English being replenished when items ran out. the sky Bar on the 13th Floor is also worth a visit with great views across the city the only problem I found was that it was frequented by many non residents. All together this was a great hotel for a night and I will definitely be using it again in the future for another lads weekend away and I will take my partner to stay for a night away.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the canal basin.

After we had recently had a less than ideal experience at a Hilton Hotel elsewhere, it is a pleasure to write about a weekend my wife enjoyed at this hotel. Her experience was as described in many of the reports. The room on the seventh floor was quiet, spotlessly clean and had everything that one would need. The restaurant staff at both the evening meal and the breakfasts were very attentive and clearly enjoyed their work. The cooked breakfasts were freshly cooked and hot, and there was plenty of variety among the cold and hot dishes. All in all, a first class city centre hotel that strives to and succeeds in providing excellent customer service..

This hotel is a real FIND. It is well located to the railway station yet is in a stunningly beautiful and interesting location over looking the Manchester-Liverpool canal. The whole surrounding area has been renovated and their are plenty of pubs and restaurants and cafes within walking distance. I can't wait to go back.

Room Tip: Here is a tip for getting to the hotel from the station. It will save you about 5 minute walk. When...

I booked this hotel for a shopping trip and got the room for a really good price, however I booked the wrong Hilton this was the doubletree and I wanted just the Hilton. The staff were very helpful when parking the car and checking in. The rooms were very clean with excellent amenities but I did feel that it was just an upmarket premier inn with the furniture very basic in all ares of the hotel. I have stayed in other Hilton hotels and found them to be more luxurious.

Overall I have no complaints just found it to be lacking in a bit of luxury
