Description: Since the 1970s Shabab restaurants have been fighting against the red-flocked flock of Indian restaurants spreading across the UK in all their tasteless glory. By bringing authenticity and style to Asian cuisine, the Shabab brand has shown that eating Indian isn't just about grabbing a bite with beer. At Shabab we believe in serving freshly prepared great tasting food to our diners in a friendly environment. Our knowledgeable staff is keen to recommend our house specialities or prepare your favourites from our a-la- carte menu to suit your taste.

Dispite what I read, this place really surprised me. It is NOT a typical close to the station restaurant. The food is very good. The staff are knowledgable, attentive without being intrusive. The decor is smart. The prices are good. All in all Very good. Recommended and a student discount.

This restaurant was recommended by a friend and it was great, especially as through one of the discount sites (sorry cant remember which one!) we had two of the main courses free. The food was really lovely, authentic and well cooked and the service was great just right. If we lived nearer we would be frequent visitors

I was at the Hilton Doubletree and fancied a curry - so went here. I would not go again.

The place was cavernous - not somewhere for a meal for two, that's for sure, although I think it would probably work well for parties/students?

The food was.... unimpressive, to say the least. I had chicken tikka masala, and it is one of the least pleasant curries I've had. I also thought the food was very expensive for what it was - there certainly wasn't much meat in mine.

There must be better in the vicinity...
