i was looking for a 1 night away with my husband and read previous reviews. 1st impressons when you walk into the hotel are :modern, clean and inviting. We were greeted with a very helpful man on the desk who checked us in but also gave us a map of Leeds and pointed out place of interest. The roomwas wonderful, although we had booked a small room it was just the same siz as other hotel rooms we have stayed in. The decor was luxurious as was the bedding. The bed was large and with the lovley bedding we found it very difficult to get out of the following morning. Before going out for a meal we had a drink in the bar and realised that the hotel was a very popular dining place, unfortunately we had made plans so didnt get to experience the food. Not the cheapest of places to stay (we were room only at £90) but if you would like a treat this is the place to go.
You can park on the street at a meter or pay £14 to the hotel to pay in a secure lot.We opted for the later, peace of mind.

As soon as you walk into the hotel you feel a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of Leeds Centre. The large Bar/Reception area is contemporary and full of style - unlike most hotels we actually decided then and there that we would be back for drinks that evening (we don't always use hotel bars preferring to eat and drink out).
Service was very attentive throughout the stay, no problems helping with directions, booking taxis, carrying bags and when we booked an extra night last minute it was arranged that we could stay in the same room.
The room itself was very large - plenty of room for a very large bed, two arm chairs, a coffee table etc. Nice touch to put a large umbrella in the wardrobe to borrow on rainy days too!
Nespresso machine was nice to have, and toiletries were one of my favourite brands!
If I was going to comment negatively on anything, I would say that it was a shame the flatscreen was attached to a wall that made it difficult to watch from the armchairs, and that hot chocolate would have been nice.
However, I would definately stay in this hotel again on any return trip to Leeds.

Smooth check-in/check-out,friendly staff. Room was big, modern and clean, well equipped as well. Very comfy bed, huge soft bathrobe!
The location was perfect, few minutes walk from railway station.
Spent 2 nights and will definitely come back again . Would recommend to everyone.

Stayed for 2 nights whilst visiting family. Very good value at £55 a night. Checked in, was impressed by classy decor, flat screen TV and Nespresso machine. Air con started making an awful noise so had to move and was upgraded. Little real difference in the new room except bigger bed, nicer toiletries and mineral water. The first room also had windows opening into the interior of the hotel which was a bit weird. Loved the bar area and spent several hours reading peacefully. Decor gorgeous with a plush jazz/ art deco feel. The breakfast was very underwhelming. On the first morning fruit was browning, there were no serving spoons for jams etc and the cooked brakfast was too greasy in parts and dry in others. The waiter was quite disinterested and had a loud conversation on the phone with his mate, asking him to get him a red bull from the shop! They were also playing Wogan on the radio very loudly over jazz, which was annoying. 2nd morning room service breakfast no better. No preseves with toast, omelette dry with nothing else. Not a patch on breakfast at the Mint. The minibar was never stocked even in the upgraded room which seems to indicate a lack of trust. Kept awake til 2 by a large group of loud and selfish people who I think had been at the Carnival. Why do people think it is acceptable to bang doors and shout in the early hours. Room right next to lift so had to listen to "doors closing" incessantly. Ordered newspapers - first was lost then recovered, second never came. The girl who delivered breakfast said she'd sort it but didn't. If you want to be seen as a high-service establishment get someone to go to the shop, or at least apologise for not being able to get one. This hotel could be great, but they need to up the service first...

really loved the room, very spacious.huge bed so comfy.had tea and coffee making facilities, would definitely stay again, the restaurant within the hotel was a little pricey but the food was amazing.only problem was the shower wasn't very hot, and was a bit noisy outside. Other than that nice hotel!

All the facilities you could want and such a great location in a nicer area of Leeds. The best asset of the hotel is the friendly staff; in particular we were served by a young man who was very well presented and made sure that we had a great stay.
