I booked a two night stay at this hotel to clebrate my partners Birthday for the bank holiday weekend.

Contrary to earlier reviews there is lots of parking at the hotel, and we got parked easily everytime we went out.
The reception staff were lovely and polite and gave us all the necessary information regarding pool times and checkout and breakfast.
The reception was nicely decorated and a nice place just to sit.

The gym was very quiet when we went and had a good assortment of machines.
The pool was slightyl busy as they're was two lanes marked off and a child swimming are as well, It would be better if they had just one lane as no one was using this and the remaning space was a bit cramped.
The hot tub was HUGE and nice and warm!

We had dinners both nights in the Verve restaurant, as we had prebooked a 3 course deal, beware the courses are huge! (But lovely)
On the second nightr we had carvery which was also nice.
Breakfast also had a good selection.
My only omplaint was the prices for spirits, I ordered a vodka and coke which was not that strong and the Vodka alone cost £3.60! Soft drinks weren't so bad so we just took a trip to the offy the next day and had drinks in our room instead.

We stayed in an upper deck room which was very nice (Theyre were a couple of Niggkes I have listed below which need sorting and prevented an excellent rating).
The bed was very comfy and the lighting was nice and cosey theyre was good space to hang up your clothwes and the room was nice and warm.
The starbucks had a selection of Bold Coffee, Extra Bold Coffee, Decaf, Tazo Breakfast Tea, Tazo Early Grey, Hot Chocolate and green tea. This also came with two almond biscotti which were topped up for our second night.
Also we were facing the M62 and did not hear a peep when the window was shut, and only a whisper with it open.

Overall the hotel had a warm, cosey modern atmosphere, was comfy and the customer service was great.

There was a couple of things in our room which could do with being adressed. (Room 305)
The window handle was broken and so opening and closing the window was difficult.
One of the main light switches had the metal cover missing of the actualy switch (didnt stop it working but not what you expect at £117)
The shower screen could do with a rethink, when the main shower is on, the screen is a bit short so the water leaks down a you end up with a soaking floor/ bat math

However bar these few niggles it was a lovely hotel!

Room Tip: Sky Movies requires a Pin ask reception when you check in if you are upper deck

Firstly the apperance of the Hotel as you walk in was loveley, welcoming and fresh. The front of house staff were very efficient and helpfull. Young lady on the desk Dawn was very considererate in trying to get us car park facing rooms, which she did.

The atmosphere on Friday evening was buzzing, who needs Leeds city centre when this place is all you need for a good evening out.

The rooms were spotless, crisp bed linen and white towels were noticed straightaway. Infact we left a Thankyou chocolate bar for the young girls who cleaned our room. (Paula)

At breakfast there was no que, and all seemed to run smoothly, the dining room was not overcrowded and the staff all very relaxed. We were shown to our table by Donna, who then brought tea and coffee. All in all a great experience and deffinately would stay over again.

The best thing was everyone wore name badges so I could address them by their name and then obviously write this review.

We stayed at Christmas for the Maquee and that was an absolute experience not to be missed if they repeat this year.

Thanks for a fab night.

Room Tip: Either 116 or 128 or 219. Best rooms for views of whats going on and this Saturday afternoon the sun...

A party of 9 have just come back from a 50th birthday celebration at village Leeds south and from my first enquiry with krista in sales to our dinner in verve restaurant on our 2nd day in which we were looked after by William, was fantastic
My initial enquiry was dealt with and all my needs were catered for with no problems by krista.
Our breakfast was lovely and the customer care was fab. Our dinner in verve on the 2nd night was also great we were looked after by William the minute we arrived and he made our evening. He is a asset to the hotel, nothing was to much trouble.
I would recommend this hotel.
Thank you for our great weekend.

we use this facility quite often as a breakfast meeting venue. Selection and quality of food is surprisingly good when considering it is buffet style. Donna & the staff are always welcoming and cannot do enough for you, without being in your face.
Excellent value & long may it continue.

We were allocated room 122 and opened the door to a foisty smell. It turned out that the wet room leaked all over the carpet even with the door closed. The room needed a good clean and the bathroom in particular was extremely dusty. The furniture and carpet had obviously seen better days and could do with replacing.
Breakfast was ok although someone had spilt yoghurt all over the floor, the serving staff just ignored it and two actually walked over the spill rather than clean it, an accident waiting to happen.
The best thing about the hotel was The Starbucks. Having stayed at another Village Hotel this one was certainly not of the same standard and could do with a shape up.

Thanks for your most recent note, sorry that your stay was only 'OK'. I will certainly check out room 122 and do take note of your comments regarding the carpet and shower. Apologies that the breakfast staff were so slack in their approach. Thank you for your comments. Chris
