I booked a two night stay at this hotel to clebrate my partners Birthday for the bank holiday weekend.
Contrary to earlier reviews there is lots of parking at the hotel, and we got parked easily everytime we went out.
The reception staff were lovely and polite and gave us all the necessary information regarding pool times and checkout and breakfast.
The reception was nicely decorated and a nice place just to sit.
The gym was very quiet when we went and had a good assortment of machines.
The pool was slightyl busy as they're was two lanes marked off and a child swimming are as well, It would be better if they had just one lane as no one was using this and the remaning space was a bit cramped.
The hot tub was HUGE and nice and warm!
We had dinners both nights in the Verve restaurant, as we had prebooked a 3 course deal, beware the courses are huge! (But lovely)
On the second nightr we had carvery which was also nice.
Breakfast also had a good selection.
My only omplaint was the prices for spirits, I ordered a vodka and coke which was not that strong and the Vodka alone cost £3.60! Soft drinks weren't so bad so we just took a trip to the offy the next day and had drinks in our room instead.
We stayed in an upper deck room which was very nice (Theyre were a couple of Niggkes I have listed below which need sorting and prevented an excellent rating).
The bed was very comfy and the lighting was nice and cosey theyre was good space to hang up your clothwes and the room was nice and warm.
The starbucks had a selection of Bold Coffee, Extra Bold Coffee, Decaf, Tazo Breakfast Tea, Tazo Early Grey, Hot Chocolate and green tea. This also came with two almond biscotti which were topped up for our second night.
Also we were facing the M62 and did not hear a peep when the window was shut, and only a whisper with it open.
Overall the hotel had a warm, cosey modern atmosphere, was comfy and the customer service was great.
There was a couple of things in our room which could do with being adressed. (Room 305)
The window handle was broken and so opening and closing the window was difficult.
One of the main light switches had the metal cover missing of the actualy switch (didnt stop it working but not what you expect at £117)
The shower screen could do with a rethink, when the main shower is on, the screen is a bit short so the water leaks down a you end up with a soaking floor/ bat math
However bar these few niggles it was a lovely hotel!
