Description: At Zizzi we like to do things a little differently. We don’t do over-complicated recipes or scrimpy portion sizes. We’re all about the well-chosen ingredients, simply put together to make exceptional Italian food. Our Leeds Cloth Hall restaurant is situated next to the Corn Exchange and only a moment's walk from the bustling shopping streets of Leeds town centre. Come to Zizzi to rest those tired shopping feet and eat in our intimate and cosy restaurant with its warm glowing flames from the oven. Dine al fresco with an outdoor dining area for sunny weather.

“Nice food when arrived”
Reviewed March 2, 2013

Group of us had pizzas which were nice when they finally arrived after a 50min wait! Service quite poor. Didn't leave a tip due to long wait, but when we paid they didn't bother returning our change anyway!

“Why the wait?”
Reviewed February 28, 2013 via mobile

OK, so we didn't have a reservation... 715pm on a Friday evening and the room was only half full. So, my wife, my sons and I decide we will eat here. I've eaten here before and the food is very good.
It was good tonight too... But why did we have to wait AN HOUR for our main courses??
A table of around ten or so young ladies were also waiting over an hour for their starters!
The redeeming feature was the fact that the food was good, the house red equally so and the bill was not too bad. But the terribly long wait between courses was never explained to us (we did enquire) and we left feeling a little underwhelmed.

“Bellissima”

I have been to Zizzis a couple of times and really like the laid back atmosphere. The food is very tasty and the portions are just right. Perfect for reasonably priced Italian food in a great location.

“We enjoyed the disinfectant”
Reviewed February 4, 2013

We've just eaten at Zizzi, Corn Exchange. My meal was disappointing, firstly it was not what I ordered, which was acknowledged by the waitress on serving, and unfortunately was overwhelmed by pesto! My partner's food, Spaghetti Carbonara, was compromised by slightly burnt ham and chicken. Whilst eating a man with a step ladder changed a lightbulb. He was two foot away and enjoyed a lovely view of our food. The waitress meantime continued to spray disinfectant on either side of our table. She didn't have much to do, though upon bringing us the bill, we had to wait ten minutes whilst she wrote tomorrow's menu on a chalk board.

“Rubbish service”
Reviewed January 29, 2013

I attended a surprise birthday party for a friend on saturday night. We were not allowed to buy drinks at the bar which is a first for any restaurant I have ever visited. The service was very slow, unacceptable to have to wait 30mins for a drink and an hour between starters and main course. The table was very cramped, people had to move their own settings to the end of the table just to fit in. When the bill arrived which was approx £400, we were then told we had to pay a compulsory service charge of approx £38! This had not been mentioned at the time of booking or when we arrived. Although the food was excellent, the whole experience spoiled the end of what was supposed to be an enjoyable night. Will not be going to Zizzi's again, very unprofessional.
