Description: Authentic Italian restaurant in the heart of Keighley. With a traditional wood burning pizza oven and imported Italian ingredients providing a taste that is second to none. With sensible and affordable pricing we are a small bustling restaurant with a great atmosphere and a great experience.

On arriving at Amici's the staff were very welcoming, we plumed for the early bird menu which seemed quite reasonable. Our party total consisted of 6, 3 adults and 3 children, the children's menu was sufficient £5.95 for two courses however the Margareta pizzas after finishing one of them off was quite bland (no garlic etc) I suppose you expect this for a children's meal.
Adult starters,x2 garlic mushrooms quite tasty but felt could of being tinned not fresh, Bruschetta x1 was very bland and missing the Italian kick, the main courses x2 calzone pizzas and x1 lobster ravioli, both calzones lacked lustre and taste the filling seemed to be in segregated lumps not evenly spread which resulted in many singular tastes not one overall experience the tomato sauce accompaniment also lacked taste surely this should be infused with garlic, mixed spices etc, my mum had the lobster ravioli which generated no complaints tasty and well worth the money. Overall a very busy restaurant at a reasonable cost which most people seem to enjoy, there's always room for improvement in our view more garlic and intense flavours make the whole Italian flavours. We would return to try different dishes. Many thanks

We visited for our Office Christmas Party. The Christmas menu was chosen weeks ahead. There were twelve of us.Looked promising when we received our starters but then we all thought something was 'wrong' because the mains took 50 minutes to appear - 6 came out first with the veg then we were told to 'make a start' because the other 6 would follow, 5 followed 10 mins later due to the kitchen only having ' 6 burners' - they had miscounted the order for fillet steak ( which carries a £6 suppliment) and were 1 short - that 1 being that for our Managing Director - 25 mins later the waiter announced 'nearly ready' to which she declined and had lost her appetite.By then everyone else had finished.Every one who had the steak felt it definately wasn't Fillet but more like a cheap chewy cut-certainly not worth a suppliment. The turkey dinner was so dry it was wrapped and taken home for the dog ! All the plates looked like they had been cooked and standing under a grill for a long while. The vegetables were so soggy they pushed through the forks like mashing a banana. The plates were finally collected and the older waiter asked if everything was ok - although he gave the distinct impression he didn't really want to know nor had he time to listen. When we pointed out the problems with the food he immediately turned awquard - saying we had 'saved the veg which was bad' to show him - we pointed out it was ALL like that. He didn't comment on the cut of steak but just kept repeating that 'we' were being unreasonable and that the food was ok.We realised we weren't going to achieve anything so we carried on to await desserts. The younger waiter commented politely that 'not to worry because we buy these in so they will be ok'. Not so... the Fudge cake wasn't fudge at all but more like a cheap chocolate sponge, the Tiramasu was a very cheap 'Angel Cake' coffee flavoured and the Christmas Pudding was awful and the portion size was that of a 50 pence piece. We asked for the Bill - £270 - bear in mind we had already paid a deposit of £120 weeks ahead - making a grand total of £390. Needless to say we didn't leave a tip. We were told they had 'removed the cost of the fillet steak' which we hadn't been served anyway. We then left and went to a local Pub for after dinner drinks but to be told by the staff in there that we were the third 'lot' who had a bad experience this week !! As customers of Stephanos in Silsden we are used to the best - we now realise we shouldn't have bothered with this eatery - it was only because some of the staff live in Keighley it seemed more convenient. On the night itself the older waiter - who we assume was the head waiter or perhaps the owner - had numerous occasions to put things right but he wasn't interested. One of our party did observe that other customers who were in smaller groups and not having the Christmas Menu - did appear to have better looking food on their plates so we assume we were unlucky as a party of twelve.I must add though we weren't the only table to experience problems - our neighbouring table 'lost' half the sauce on one plate as the waiter bumped his elbow and 1/2 fell to the floor - he quickly looked around wiped the plate and continued to serve this to the lady, later returning with anothe waiter to wipe the floor hoping no one had seen !! To summarize - given a choice as a party or group - don't bother, it's expensive very poor food served in an unprofessional manner.Hence the title to this - 'Never Again'

We looked at trip adviser for an Italian restaurant, and having visited Amicis last evening we were not dissapointed. A very friendly and warm greeting, proffesional table service and excellent food. Two starters and main courses plus a bottle of house wine for just over forty pounds. Outstounding value for money and the ambience exceeded all our expectations. We will definately visit again. Our apologies to mine host for refusing our departing free shot as we were full up!
