Yes, it's low cost but when we were served with diced (pea sized) chicken it was unlike anything any of my colleagues had ever experienced before. Im sorry but this wasn't a good experience.

You can take your own beer and wine which is brilliant if you are on a budget. The food was excellent though not a massive choice. But be prepared for rather basic surroundings. I would recommend it though, aspecially as our bill for 4 of us including starters and mains and poppadoms was only £36. Excellent.

The place is cheap but tastes good, and the price is ok. The service is fairly quick. The only let down is the place you eat, its like some back street cafe which needs doing up to a nice standard.

Cheap (extremely e.g. Samosa starter. 70p chicken tikka £1.95 for a huge plateful one of the best we have tasted

Try the nan - wow !

Main courses good taste it's just the surroundings - bit bus shelterish -

They opened the bottom part of the restaurant as we were noisy which was fab - we could make as much noise as we wanted

We took our own drink so the meal for 10 for two courses each came to £81 !!!

So if you want no thrills. (And I mean no frills) and you have a load of friends it's fab, just don't go for a romantic meal for two !

I have been eating here for almost 40 years. The food is always cooked fresh for your order and if you look into the kitchen , you can see the Chef karaihing your food.
Ask for the tandoor roti, you can have two of these included in the price of your curry or you can take 3 chappatti or plain boild rice in with the price of your bowl.

The highlights for me include the onion bhaji starter portion and a superb chicken and veg masala bhuna cooked just right. They will adjust the level of chilli to suit your taste, but if you like it hotter ask for it 'Asian style' or 'Punjabi Style' or just go thw whole mile and ask for hot with extra green chili.

They open at 11.00am and the day team work until about 5.00pm when the evening team start their shift. I have always preferred the chefs that work the day team, there food just seems that bit more together, but in blind test. probaly there is no difference.

For students on a budget, go for a dahl with 3 chappatis , a wholsome and filling tasty hot meal for less money than a sandwich from subway...says it all really.

When the kids were little, we brough them here and even had birthday parties at Kashmir when other kids were going to Pizza Hut and KFC. My oldest boy now lives on his own and cooks his own food from fresh and can even make a decent curry.

This is the real taste of Pakistani fast food as enjoyed bey everybody from taxi drivers and students to lawyers driving s class mercs. Not licenced but you can BYOB, beer or wine or whatever and no corkage fee.

The tables are wiped clean for every guest and you eat it 'asian style using your hands and chappatti, knives and forks asre available for the squeemish.

The only downside is that their restrooms are a bit grim and offten only cold water for handwash, but hey this isnt the Ritz, it's a taste of Pakistani Bradford that dates back to the 1950's when they started the hydroelectric project in Mirpur and British cities courted Pakistani men to come and do the labour intensive jobs in the mills and factories. The Kashmir is still here, turning out fresh hot food to the workers from 11.00am until the small hours.
