We had a lovely stay at this hotel, in a nice quiet location near enough to the City, staff really pleasant - got a brilliant rate thanks to Obitz on Moneysaving expert - had a family room with 2 double beds, very noisy downstairs with wedding parties both nights but room was very quiet - if I had one criticism it would be that there was nowhere to have a quiet drink, which we would have liked, but thats very minor. great stay would definately reccommend

I had a great nights stay at this hotel in September 2009, the room was spacious and clean (a little tile grout mould), most rooms seem to have King sized beds and rural views, don't expect much from the gym (3 bits of equipment), however the quiet location makes up for any small problems.

As this Hotel used to be Courtyard by Marriott look out for the Brown Marriott tourist signs to guide you, however village of Tong is quiet small so I think you'll find it.

The Hotel has just been upgraded (?) to include the new Holiday inn logo, lovely shiney logo at Reception, new planters and a new bench outside, might have been better to have spent the money on some small maintenance which at the moment causes this hotel just to look a little tired. Tile Grout mould, plants growing out the guttering.

Overall a good Hotel

I was really impressed with this hotel. The staff were very friendly and gave us a room in a quiet area of the hotel as requested. The room was spacious and very clean. The dining room for breakfast was very pleasant and the breakfast itself was as expected. We were visiting family in Morley and Leeds so its location was very good for our needs. The only slight criticism I have was the faint smell of smoke in our non-smoking room but otherthan that I thought it was excellent for the price we paid (£46 BB) and have recommended it to my family.

The hotel put on a great wedding event in a peaceful rural hotel, converted from a period property and with newer extensions. However, some bedrooms are looking tired and need a thorough clean. Insufficient seating in the small bar area.

Apart from the wedding food, do not eat here. We had to wait an excessive time to be seated in the restaurant, even though we had booked a table for dinner. This was because a large touring coach party was given priority. Five of us chose different dishes, but only one was remotely acceptable, so we sent them back. Steaks were tough, pork smelled off, fish overcooked, white wine not chilled. After complaining, we were offered a complimentary bottle of wine (presumably also warm), but eventually the duty manager refunded the whole cost. This still left us a problem of finding a meal. Tong village has a reputable pub, but was too busy on a friday night. We opted for a carvery pub, cheap, cheerful and welcoming, located a couple of miles west.

We spend the night in this hotel, wanting to get away from it all for a short break. The overall hotel is looking ok if a bit dated. The spa facilities are lovely, as is the food. Not lots of choice on the evening meal menu, but ok still. Breakfast has a great range, lots of different items and hot (which is a plus). Overall ok, and easy to get to.

Booked through LateRooms.com and paid £120 for double room for 3 nights for 2 adults - room only. Clean room. Staff friendly and helpful. Taxi into Bradford about £8. Near M62 Jn 27 so convenient location. Pleasant countryside out of the city. Greyhound pub in Tong village - popular and booking may be necessary. Local sign near A650 still says Marriott hotel. We asked for, and was given a quiet room.
