“All the previous good work undone”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 1, 2014

I have stayed at this hotel 5 or 6 times and always been happy with the hotel. All that good work undone. Noisy, noisy, noisy! Midnight doors closing, 3am baby crying, 4am banging on door down corridor, 4:30am people walking down corridor and at 6am some bloke threatening to take someones head off. Whilst you might say you can't blame the hotel I was asked if I wanted a quite part of the hotel and said yes. Imagine if I'd got the noisy part? What makes it worse is the girl on check out never asked if everything had been ok, probably a good thing. I don't think I'll return because I was knackered the next day:<

Room Tip: Don't request the quite part of the hotel

I stayed at Cedar Court Bradford last week. Everything about it was great: generous parking slots close to reception with plenty of available spaces; very quick and efficient check-in/out; lovely staff. The bedroom was well appointed and very comfortable, and well supplied with hot drink facilities. Breakfast, and breakfast service, were both excellent. There were no downsides at all; it's just how a hotel should be and I'm looking forward to staying there again in July.

I stayed here with my autistic teen, who doesn't like noise or crowds, but the hotel had such a pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff that he was even happy to use the very nice leisure facilities. room was great, bed VERY comfy, good choice at breakfast, peaceful, and the cost was not much different to that of a budget hotel, overall 5*

Chose this hotel as a base to visit Emmerdale shooting locations and it proved ideal for us for that. I would say that this hotel is not a four star hotel, maybe 2-3, it looks impressive, has space, a pool, spa, bar, restaurant and on the surface looks 4 star, but the luxury and detail you would expect isn't there, in opinion.
Stayed 3 nights in a family room £150, booked via late rooms.com. I decided to ring hotel direct after, glad I did as they had no record via bookings.com of the fact we had a daughter, so they put us in a family room, no extra charge. Pleasing.
On arrival staff helpful, due to a wedding they moved our room to the opposite side of hotel to the wedding, again happy with that, did mean that we were near road, Room 201, second floor. We used the Restaurant first night, however, due to the wedding they did not have full menu, told us that after ordered, so I had two small starters, bread and olives and a goats cheese tart, fine with me. Husband had Thai Green Curry, rice was curried and not coconut flavoured as stated on menu and curry was mainly potato with very few pieces of chicken. Staff polite and apologetic. Room, We did sleep pretty soundly, but the beds were so so hard, although pillows soft. Room good size, clean decor, although curtains seemed very 1980's. Bathroom again good size, tiles looked new, clean, floor not that nice, shower curtain thin and had mildew, tut tut, not nice. Floor and corners not spotlessly clean, toilet seat cheap plastic. One towel I opened had a brownish stain, just not laundered properly? The toilet door, very strange and was like something you would find in a caravan! Split into two, I guess to save space to not open into the room, but did not close ! So we had to put tv on, if you understand!
I suppose we didn't think there was lots to complain about, or we would have asked to move rooms. I am sure they would have, staff generally very helpful. Would recommend to short stay business users. Just some improvement to the quality of fixtures, beds etc. needed to really deserve those stars.

We've stayed here before so were a bit worried to read some of the recent reviews but after our stay, although some of them we'd agree with, it was still a nice place to stay at.

First big advantage of this hotel is it's location - so easy to find, straight off the M606 (you can actually see the hotel as you are leaving the motorway). Check-in was a little bit confusing as there was a mix-up over one room but the pleasant lady on reception was great at sorting it out. Rooms were comfortable, if a bit warm. Bathroom had all the facilities we would expect and a hot shower that actually worked easily. We were on the motorway side but no problems with traffic noise at all.

We used the dining room / brasserie on one evening - a strange layout and no wonder you are advised to book as I doubt there were ten tables in the area (wrong to call it a room as it's a cordoned off part of the main reception. The food was lovely, the hand cut chips among the best I've ever tasted, but service was patchy. When paying £26 for a bottle, I would have expected an ice bucket and for the bottle to be opened - not a full, unopened bottle being placed on our table. Also, having ordered a cheeseboard, we didn't expect to have to ask twice for associated cutlery. Don't let this put you off - the food was excellent.

Also visited the swimming pool area, steam room was also very good and the pool was comfortable. A strange quirk was that the room guides said to take your own towels but the club provided them free anyway.

This seemed to be a popular hotel for weddings - at least one every day we were there. Only once we saw (and heard) a problem with children running around - in one case, not only unsupervised but seemingly encouraged to do so by adults (at 11pm). We decided to use the opportunity to have an earlier night and took drinks back to our rooms. (We also had problems with room keys - we took two as suggested by an earlier reviewer but both were replaced at least once.

All in all, despite a few faults, the hotel still has a lot to offer and we would definitely use this as a base for any visit to the area again.

Just spent three nights at Cedar Court. Was very pleasantly surprised to find that this hotel was run of the mill standard British Hotel. The bedroom was of very good standard with everything provided for a comfortable stay. Food provided in the restaurant was very good and the chef obviously was an exponent of his art. Staff everywhere were most pleasant and nothing seemed to be any trouble to them. We were only taking advantage of a break that was on offer at the time
and couldnt believe what excellent value it was. We were visiting relatives in Bradford and will certainly know where to stay when we come again.

Room Tip: Room 318 was in a good position on the third floor overlooking a very well tended courtyard garden...

Stayed here for one night on business. Lovely well appointed room with everything I needed. Very quiet, comfortable bed and a good night's sleep. Very friendly, helpful staff, I forgot my toothpaste and complimentary toothpaste was immediately forthcoming! I was also located on a higher floor which was appreciated as a single female guest. Breakfast was of good quality for a buffet and wonderfully- service started at 6.30am - so many hotels don't serve early enough for business people. The only disappointment of my stay was the poor quality of food for evening meal. I chose the thai green curry which was watery with gristly chicken (and not a lot of it). However I would still stay here again if in the area, the hotel was good value for money overall.

Room Tip: I think all rooms here would be equally as good.
