Nine family members had booked one night for a family pilgrimage. Hotel had two big weddings booked and our entire group ended-up being moved to a nearby sister hotel due to; a. failure to book seven of them at all, and b. offering an inappropriate room to me. Staff were all courteous but it was a glorious mix up at the end of a long journey/day. Not what was planned!

Just come back from a weekend stay and the staff were exceptional. Reception staff were friendly and quick to check us in whilst the restaurant staff in particular really made us feel at ease. One member of staff in particular who really made our night was an Indian guy named whose name I think was Sam or San who was very helpful with both our request to be seated nearer the window as well as our selection of wine. Whilst we did think that overall the prices at the bar were a little over the top the food more than made up for it with the salmon in particular being fantastic. 5 stars to all the staff.

We stayed overnight on Saturday. Buffet Breakfast was served 8-10am on Sunday. We arrived for breakfast at 9.10am. What chaos - it was like a bus station. No tables were cleared or prepared to sit at; there was hardly any food left on the buffet tables and only few staff were in attendance. It took some time for a table to be prepared and for ordered coffee to arrive. The buffet was not replenished until 5 minutes before the restaurant closed at 10.00am. Far too late for the guests. No signs of management resolving the problems. Worst breakfast at any Best Western Hotel stayed at.

If you value your breakfast as part of your hotel stay - this is the place to avoid.

The hotel was lovely. i was very welcoming and comfortable and the housekeeping was excellent. all the staff were very friendly and helpful especially Christina (older person) who gave us advice on where to visit and we thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Haifax and Haworth. Congratulations to all the staff for making our visit very enjoyable. Thank you.

The reception staff were excellent as were the restaurant team. One receptionist in particular (who's name I forget) was extremely helpful she was a young female with black hair and a red bow in her hair. Two of the bar staff were very unfriendly. One was a plum female who kept fiddling with her mobile phone and making customers wait whilst she finished her text messages. She seemed to leave everything to the other female who I think was getting fed up and decided to do less to get to the same level. Such as shame when the rest of the team were so helpful. The food was excellent and the goats cheese and beetroot tart was a delight ! Drinks were expensive and the room we were in could have done with updating but overall it was pleasant.

Room Tip: We were on ground floor surrounded by a coach party of older adults so had no noise problems.

I stayed here earlier this year with a friend... the checking in process was smooth and quick and the room was lovely- comfiest beds i've ever had the pleasure of staying in. We ate in the restuarant which was shockinly rather empty. The food was delicious and reasonably priced and the young lady serving (Ellie) was polite, friendly and more than accomodating for any changes we wanted to the dishes. Would definately return!!
