“Free but brilliant!”
Reviewed March 8, 2013

This is a great museum if you're in West Yorkshire with an hour or two to use. All the rooms are very interesting and interactive. The staff are friendly and along with the museum there is the IMAX which is amazing and has the biggest screen I've ever watched a film on! The gift shop is ridiculously over priced but I guess that's expected when it's free entry.

“Excellent place”
Reviewed March 6, 2013

This place is worth a visit with the family and little ones with plenty to see and do.
Been here three times now and has not changed much over the last 15 years or so, but has focused more on kids.

“Good time filler!”
Reviewed March 5, 2013

Stuck with a couple hours to spare, ventured in to happily discover it was free.
Even storing your bags/coasts was free.
Enjoyable little time filler for a sunday afternoon. Much enjoyed.

“Great day out”
Reviewed February 27, 2013

Fantastic day out. Takes a full day, especially if you see a movie in one of the cinemas. Very busy at half term but still possible to see all the displays. Educational and lots of variety. Easy to find but local car parks are not cheap. Cost £6.50 for half a day. Museum is free although worth taking a packed lunch as food is a little expensive. However, all goes to he museum funds so den mind paying. Cinema was a bargain at £3 each. Really enjoyed it. Worth a visit.

“Not bad for free”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

This museum is worth attending as its free and has some nice exhibits to look at. There are activities for children to do and some hands-on games. However, every time I attend it is packed to overflowing. This makes it difficult to get round - especially with a buggy. Also a lot of the hands-on activities are difficult to get to when its packed. The parking is similarly a little difficult to locate.

I would recommend this for slightly older children, say at least 10, who can read and don't have lots of needs.
