“NEVER AGAIN”

i couldn't agree more with the review writen by westfieldvisitor. My husband and i went to this resteraunt on Friday night expecting a nice leisurely meal - we too chose from the menu and felt that they rushed us both through our starter and our main course. No sooner had we put our cuttlery down he waiters were on us clearing - now dont get me wrong, i dont like to sit with dirty plates in front of me when ive finished eating but that was just rediculous. to cap it all, once we had paid our bill, we both had drinks left and they asked us to leave our table and go sit in the bar. We left, leaving the drinks and NO TIP. We will not be going to this resteraunt again - we should have gone to zouke just across the way - food and service a million times better - boo to aagrah.

“Like falling out with a friend”
Reviewed March 17, 2013

We've been eating here for years, but last night was so disappointing. This is a busy, bustling restaurant but the staff were rude and gave the strong impression that they just couldn't be bothered.
On being seated, the waiter enquired whether we wanted to see the menu or have the buffet. We opted for the menu and made our selections. Service was brusque - to the point that three attempts were made to take a glass from the table that was obviously still in use. The first time was irritating, the second annoying, but the third was just ignorant. The bill arrived, without beng requested just after we finished the main course. The waiter seemed quite put out when we asked for the dessert menu, coffees tea and another beer. While placing the order, he said we were 'confusing' him and would have to start again! Even after doing so, the beer failed to materialise at all and we had the strange experience of discovering the waiter didn't seem to know the difference between decaffinated and filter coffee.
All in all, a frustrating and disappointing evening. Our party of four left with the distinct impression that the buffet is much the preferred option from the management's point of view and that a quiet unhurried meal for a small group is not something the Aagrah wants to
encourage. Unfortunately for them, there are plenty of restuarants that do - and they will be having our custom in future.

“Very good food, fresh and timely service”
Reviewed March 17, 2013

My wife and I visited at around 10.30 pm on a Saturday night, having been to the cinema next door. Although the buffet had closed, the staff were still very helpful and welcoming, and were speedy and attentitve.

We ordered from the main menu. Between us we had, chicken makani (forgive the spelling), chicken tikka masala, mushroom fried rice, sag paneer, plain naan, and accompaniments.

Service was quick, food was hot, fresh and very tasty.

Will definitely return, maybe to try the buffet next time.

“Very good buffet”
Reviewed March 15, 2013

Great place to come and try different curries that you wouldn't necessarily order from the menu. Very nice food all round with lots of choice. Poppadoms n pickles, Starters, mains, sides, desserts. Also a very nice restaurant and bar area. Definitely recommend.

“What a complete shambles!”
Reviewed March 13, 2013

My boyfriend and I were calling in here for the buffet on Saturday evening, I booked it on the Thursday, so well in advance...Upon arrival there must have been 150 people waiting to be seated, it was so crowded we could not even open the door to get in...I managed to find someone with a clip board and asked whether we would get a table that evening, as we had booked. Oh yes madam, he replied... fortunately we were then approached by another customer who had been waiting two hours for a table he had booked the week before...Needless to say we didn't hang around, I will never come here again though, we drove 20 miles out of our way, and completely wasted our time.
Funnily enough they seemed to be able to seat people they knew.....
