Visited on a Saturday night having pre booked a table. Despite the fact that the restaurant was not full, the standard of service was abysmal. We were shown to a table very quickly and then ignored. we eventually collared a passing waiter and asked for some menus. These were then provided quickly but it was again an age before someone came to take our order and when we eventually did get food we did not have enough cutlery and again had difficulty attracting attention.
There does not seem to be anyone in charge of front of house keeping an eye on tables and ensuring that customers are looked after and although the staff are all very pleasant and friendly they could do with some lessons in customer care.
Now for the food. Despite all the rave reviews for the Samosas, I have to say that although they were perfectly acceptable, I have had better elsewhere. My dining companions enjoyed their starters and main courses and my balti chicken jalfrezi was excellent. So, the food has scored "very good"
However, there is no excuse for indifferent or poor service anywhere and particularly in the restaurant business where there is so much choice available.
Will I be going back? A resounding NO!
