“Chichester's hidden jewel”
Reviewed May 10, 2013

Set a little outside of Chichester's main area for eateries I was surprised that the restaurant was so busy and popular. The food was exquisite, all the dishes came out at little intervals allowing time for us to enjoy a few at at a time. The were hot and well presented. The guitarist's played authentic Spanish music and for 2hrs yesterday evening I felt like was truly in Spain. My only complaint was the noise, due to the shape of the building allowing it to reverberate around the room, but this would not put me off going again. This was a lovely way to celebrate a mate's birthday. A lovely evening.

“authentic spanish atmosphere”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

Although we hadn't booked on a busy Thursday night, they found a table for us and looked after us very well. There was a real buzz about the place and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.
There were a large selection of Tapas dishes, we chose some of the specials (the chorizo pie was excellent) and some of the regular dishes. Happily there were plenty of vegetarian and fish options, important for my wife.
All the food was well cooked and presented and efiiciently served. The wines/beers were fine and reasonably priced, although not a huge selection.
We chose 6 dishes in total, unfortunately all bar 1 came together so some weren't at there best all the time, which was just about enough. However this our only quibble during a most enjoyable evening in a lovely city.
If you like Tapas and an informal atmosphere you'll love it here.

“amazing food and terrific service”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

this restaurant may not be easy to find but it is definitely worth the search. the food here is all homemade as i found out whilst ordering patatas ali oli- i was advised by the owner not too as i was pregnant and as its homemade she knew it contained raw eggs, she recommended some dishes i may enjoy and i wasnt disappointed. the spanish omelette with cooked chorizo was delicious as were the meatballs and prawns. i went here with a friend who is herself Spanish and will only eat tapas here out of all the other local tapas restaurants, which i find speaks for itself. i cant recommend this restaurant enough and often find any excuse to go back. i would advise booking well in advance as they get very busy and it avoids disappoinment

“terrible acoustics!”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

I'm not a fan of tapas so i won't comment on the food. I went with friends - their choice of restaurant. It's a cellar, like a railway tunnel, and the noise reverberates around the room so that you can't hear people speaking right next to you - so everybody talks even louder! There was a couple of guitarists and they played extremely well - what i could hear of it - would have liked to have been able to hear more..... Don't think I'll be going back.

I went with 2 friends who live in Chichester. Very warm welcome and all the staff very friendly. Great food. We were very full by the end. Good lager on tap.
