“Poor service.”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 24, 2013

Came here as it used to be a great different Indian restaurant.
The waiters were grumpy and didn't smile once. The food was ok but not what I was expecting. There are better quality and cheaper Indian restaurants around.

“Always great food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 20, 2013 via mobile

Ate as a party of 12 family and friends on Saturday night and the food and service were absolutely excellent. The large order was taken effortlessly and all the food was superb. We have been coming here since it first opened and I don't think we have ever had a bad meal.

“Amazingly lovely staff and great curry. 5 stars all the way”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 17, 2013

As a family we absolutely love memories. It is a friendly and warm atmosphere often bustling with people. As long time customers we will not go anywhere else for a good curry. The takeaway is just as good as eating in! Loved my experience

“Best Lamb Chop !”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 13, 2013

My partner and I have been regular customers at Memories of India for a number of years,we have always found the food to be excellent and of a very high standard. We have always found the staff to be polite and helpful when choosing a dish from the menu. This is the first time we have written a review but we felt we needed to after reading a review dated 4th Jan.We visited on Friday the 11th and also had the ginger lamb starter. It was.... as always very tasty and to our satisfaction. This was followed by a most enjoyable main dish, lamb naga for myself and a chicken tikka bhuna for my partner. The restaurant was busy but as always we had a lovely evening. If you want a curry in 5 minutes then go to ASDA,If you want a freshly cooked curry sometimes you have to wait.We would strongly recommend that you visit this restaurant for yourselves and make your own decision.

“slow service, mediocre food at a high price”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 11, 2013

bland & mushy potato cakes, tiny tiny onion bhajis - under spiced
the skimpiest of lamb chops as a main, and rubbery rice

slow slow service, took 1hr 45 to get out, with no drinks or deserts & even then having to stand at the bar & ask for the bill - others came & went meantime, admittedly, so not all are so slow, but no explanation or apology

£39 for two modest starters, two mains, 1 rice, 2 bread, no drinks - very disappointing indeed.
don't sit out back near the toilets (we didn't, but you'd have to like the toilet-cleaner smell).
