“Brilliant!”
Reviewed June 11, 2013

The walk to the top of Kingley Vale was absolutely stunning. This was our first 'proper' walk with our children (aged 9 & 6), and the unfolding scenery kept their attention - right to the top! The yew trees were indeed incredible, and the 360-degree views from the summit, awe-inspiring. In the words of our youngest - 'this is the BEST day EVER'! We did have some difficulty finding the car park initially, (which was packed when we arrived - so we parked further away, and walked back), but the signs for the walk itself were clear. I would suggest looking on the Natural England website for directions to the car park.

We have this beautiful place on our door step. We walk the dog and the children regularly! Every time we go there's something else to see.

“Amazing place, well worth a visit”
Reviewed June 1, 2013

Kingley Vale is so worth a visit. the ancient yew trees are incredible, like nothing else you will have seen before. Reputedly the most ancient living things in the UK, the trees look like great enormous black spiders waiting to pounce on unwary travellers. A truly beautiful and unique landscape.

“stunning, just stunning”
Reviewed May 25, 2013

After parking the car, the walk takes you through some lovely fields with rolling hill backdrop. All very pleasant but then you start the trail. Oh my word! The 2000 year old yew trees are incredible. And if that isn't enough, take the steep climb up the hill to the top where you have the most amazing views over the South Downs and right out to sea. This is a walk not to be missed but be warned - dogs are to be kept on leads. Cannot wait to repeat this walk in all seasons.
