Nice enough but like others nearly choked at the price.
2 bowls of soup + round of organic bread = £15+ = OTT!

It looks like a lovely "olde worlde tea shoppe" but the range of cakes is poor and the prices quite ridiculous. When I commented I was told it was because the tea was organic. I cannot believe this makes the difference of £3 a pot for one over other local cafes.

Took an American friend here who loved the ambiance but was staggered at the prices. Definitely overpriced and on our day there service indifferent.

The scones were lovely but the quaint and unique aspects of this café were spoilt by the price. Pot of tea, cup of coffee and 2 scones £13.95! And the portions of spread (organic butter?) were ridiculously small.

I used to enjoy going to St Martins for the wide choice of delicious cakes - I especially liked the carrot cake topped with yogurt. So I was extremely disappointed to find that there was a very small choice of cakes on offer - basically ginger cake, tiffin and flapjack. We had a slice of tiffin and one of flapjack - the tiffin was very thin and hard, although a good chocolate had been used. I asked for a latte with soya or lactose free milk - they offered oat milk, which gave a very thin coffee. Definitely not a latte. The cost of this meagre repast was over £16 - extortionate for the quality of the food. I saw on the menu that a spoonful of salsa cost 95p! The management is proud of their use of healthy ingredients - no full fat milk, cream, sugar. They should think again. When people go out to tea they want food that speaks of luxury, comfort and of times gone by - especially when the surroundings are so elegantly Georgian. The rooms also needed a good clean - dusty, grubby curtains and high up areas that needed a thorough dusting.
