It was a bitterly cold day when we went but we were soon warmed up by the enthusiasm shown by Gordon the archaeologist who gave the talks. Very good idea to split them into 2 30 minute sessions as I think I would have frozen standing still for an hour. Good museum and short very interesting film. Another bonus is that they give you the option of buying a year ticket rather than forcing it on you.

It was a wet and cold day, where to go that is indoors, find Fishbourne Roman Palace on Tripadvisor, the tour had been highly recommended by a few reviewers. The staff were very welcoming on such a miserable day. We had decided to take the tour at eleven, our guide said this was part one of the tour, lasted about 30 mins. That half hour was so interesting, it catered for all ages but you just wanted to hear more. At the end of that tour we had time for a cup of tea to warm up, lovely cafe and yummy cakes, recommend the hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows. The second part of the tour started at twelve, yet again it was great.
The kids enjoyed spending their money in the shop, very reasonable. We all went away talking about how good a time we had had.
Wet or dry day please go and visit, great for all ages.

We are English Heritage members and got a good discount on our entry fees, making the visit well worth our while. I came here as a child and from what I can remember, not a lot has changed. It was very interesting however, as were the gardens, although it was bitterly cold when we visited so we didn't spend long outside. I would not recommend bringing young children as there is not a lot to keep their attention. Older children however should find it interesting and there are some interactive bits in the museum such as have a go at weaving. We enjoyed a nice cuppa in the cafe. Overall we had a very enjoyable afternoon but I think once you have seen it, there's not much reason to go back again.

Dull drizzly day and not quite expecting the excellent visit we had recently. Go after 1400 as schoolchildren take over the place 1100-1400.
Superb exhibits and just a remarkable place - not quite expecting the excellent visit we had, Tours well worth the 30 mins they take.

All in all a great visit and well worth the time and money

Well worth a visit and the some! If you get Gordon as your toque guide then you are in for a treat. Unbelievably interesting!
