Arrival; Very easy to find, with its own "Brown Sign". Asked to pay balance due on arrival, which I didn't mind, but maybe they should let you see the room first (you won't be disappointed though).

Room: Well appointed, very small LCD TV, very comfortable bed, footsteps from 2nd floor room above were noisy and woke me up in the morning, very good locks on the door, surprising amount of noise from A27 bypass (window open). No Wi-Fi access.

Breakfast: There's a menu in your room, but maybe a small one on the table would be helpful. Food was good, but not memorable.

Conc; Friendly and helpful. Not especially good value for single occupancy without en-suite.

The Arden is an 'old school' B&B with a slightly institutional feel.

It's very conveniently located and not bad value in this expensive area. Very clean and all you need for a couple of nights, but let down by uninspiring decor and furnishing. We were slightly disconcerted by a request for full payment just as we were going out to eat on our first night and would have preferred the proprietors to have made their terms of business clear in advance.
Breakfast is standard B&B.Some fresh fruit would not go amiss.

We booked last minute to stay at the Arden Guest House. Ann and Terry were really accomodating, made us feel very welcome. Room was clean and uncluttered. Would definitely recommend.

This guest house is close to the centre of Arundel in a quiet cul-de-sac. We had a great welcome from the friendly owners who were very helpful throughout. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. We would definitely come again.

This is a lovely B&B, I really enjoyed my stay. The rooms are homely without being cluttered with ornaments and junk. It was neat and spotlessly clean. There were tea and coffee facilities and a sink in the room with a shared seperate loo and shower (some rooms are en suite).

All soaps, loo roll etc were topped up, everything was neat and very clean. The bed was really comfortable and I slept like a log.

Breakfast was in a wonderful country village cafe style room with full English, cereal, drinks, fruit etc. Or you could choose your own hot breakfast from any of the ingredients. My scrambled egg and bacon was absolutely perfectly cooked and a real treat!

The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Even during the breakfast rush the lady never lost her politeness and willingness to please.

There are a few 'rules' like checking out on time or not eating hot food in the room which some people may find a little picky if they're used to hotels but they're all designed to make the next person's stay enjoyable too.

The tv in my room was an old style CRT one with 4 channels. I expect all the TVs will need updating on the digital switchover so you might get more choice after that if you want a quiet night in your room watching telly.

There are about 4 parking spaces and I think there's a big car park off the main road nearby.

Overall a wonderful B&B, very much recommended!

Arundel is a lovely town full of historical interest a wonderful castle. Many intersting shops, restaurants in the town and wildlife centre and the coast nearby. A good centre for exploring the countryside and the historic town.
Arden guest house is run by a friendly couple who run a very comfortable establishment offering a range of rooms to suit all tastes from singles to the honeymoon suite. The rooms have all the amenities expected of a B&B from soft fluffy towels, good showers and a traditional choice of breakfast. Parking is handy and safe at the front of the building.
Arden guest house is situated very conveniently in the centre of the town but not on a main thoroughfare so quiet as well.
We will definitely visit again!

I challenge anyone to find even the tiniest speck of dust or dab of grime anywhere in the entire building - the standards of cleanliness are amazing. My freind and I stayed in a twin room on the top floor; we did not have an ensuite room (they were fully booked)- but the loo was only next door & the shower was on the next floor down. I was a bit dubious about booking a room without ensuite facilites - but we were truly delighted with the accommodation. The lack of an ensuite was no problem at all and the lovely bedrooms and general high standard throughout - more than make up for this very minor Inconvenience. The rooms were well decorated, plenty of fluffy towels, beds were spotless and very comfortable - the breakfast freshly cooked to a very high standard

The location of the property is fab; just a couple of minutes walk over the bridge and you are in the centre of Arundel. The view of the castle as you walk over the bridge - breath taking.
I note one slighty derogatory review - but, just remember there are two sides to every story ! The 10am checkout is clear before you book . The early checkout - allows the rooms to be ready and prepared to an exceptional standard before the next guests arrive. Its a matter of courtesy to others. If you want to lie about in bed on the day of departure - I suggest you go elsewhere and let the earlier birds enjoy this fabulous accomodation - provided by the most efficient, freindly and helpful hosts I have ever encountered.
