Never liked grouse much..wouldn't do I am a beef farmer. Hardly ever wandered off the steak, but Now I do ...Lee cooks sublimely. Always busy but don't understand why there isn't a queue down the street, yum , Me and my fat mate (we don't share accommodation) always compare everywhere else to it..at the end of an excellent meal our conversation is always,,yes that was very good but is it better than The Town House..erm No, not ever. Value for money is the best ever in the history of food..

“Small is Beautiful”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 25, 2013

Big establishments sometime have the biggest menus but, if you are looking for a treat, try the Town House in Arundel, Sussex. A more than adequate menu and the food is excellent, served in a short time with a smile. It is not cheap but excellent value.

“Truly Amazing food.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 24, 2013

We ate in The Town House on September 26th on a day trip to Arundel from London. The food was OUTSTANDING!! Such delicacies as Potted crab, Pigeon supreme, local partridge crabs and lobster! I had the the pigeon (tender and tasty) followed by the Lobster which was elegantly split in half, one half simply buttered and the other thermidor! Perfect! Our host, Paul was charming and very obliging when some of needed to depart from the menu. It's a charming restaurant and I was ready to move to Arundel so that I could eat there every day!

“If in Arundel then eat here.”

A small friendly restaurant with friendly helpful staff plus brilliant service. The food is excellent. If on the menu try the lobster/scallop risotto. It's to die for. And that was just the start. Whole roast partridge carved for you. Delicious. As usual I plumped for vanilla ice cream as a sweet I didn't have room for the sweet. The white rioja is excellent and reasonably priced. Overall a fantastic meal and can't wait to go back. That I assumes I can get a table you might have to book a little way in advance.

“Top class”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 10, 2013

Having planned a visit to see the Castle we were tempted by the good reviews on Trip Adviser to try this restaurant, we were not disappointed. The whole experience was excellent from start to finish. The focaccia was the best ever; the potted crab sublime as was the butternut and cardamom soup. Our mains, rump of lamb and corn fed chicken, were full of subtle flavours and left us feeling very satisfied. The desserts (chocolate fondant with peanut ice cream and lemon cheesecake with raspberry sorbet) were excellent. Highly recommended
