We ate in The Town House on September 26th on a day trip to Arundel from London. The food was OUTSTANDING!! Such delicacies as Potted crab, Pigeon supreme, local partridge crabs and lobster! I had the the pigeon (tender and tasty) followed by the Lobster which was elegantly split in half, one half simply buttered and the other thermidor! Perfect! Our host, Paul was charming and very obliging when some of needed to depart from the menu. It's a charming restaurant and I was ready to move to Arundel so that I could eat there every day!

A small friendly restaurant with friendly helpful staff plus brilliant service. The food is excellent. If on the menu try the lobster/scallop risotto. It's to die for. And that was just the start. Whole roast partridge carved for you. Delicious. As usual I plumped for vanilla ice cream as a sweet I didn't have room for the sweet. The white rioja is excellent and reasonably priced. Overall a fantastic meal and can't wait to go back. That I assumes I can get a table you might have to book a little way in advance.

Having planned a visit to see the Castle we were tempted by the good reviews on Trip Adviser to try this restaurant, we were not disappointed. The whole experience was excellent from start to finish. The focaccia was the best ever; the potted crab sublime as was the butternut and cardamom soup. Our mains, rump of lamb and corn fed chicken, were full of subtle flavours and left us feeling very satisfied. The desserts (chocolate fondant with peanut ice cream and lemon cheesecake with raspberry sorbet) were excellent. Highly recommended

5 of us drove down to Arundel on a weekend. Looked at Trip Advisor and since the Town House was rated #1, booked a table. It was well worth it. It's a small place (just 6-7 tables), but very airy and cheerful. The menu is a bit limited, but that doesn't take anything away from the quality of what's on offer. Between us, for starters, we tried the potted crab, a duck terrine (special of the day) and the foie gras. In one word: delicious! Even the home baked bread and the salads that accompanied the food were outstanding, especially the salads, which had micro herbs and a lovely dressing. We tried all the main courses on offer, including the steak (special of the day) and the food was excellent. The partride was succulent, the lamb rump just fell off the bones and steak was just right.

Complaints? Just one: it took too long between the starters and the main courses.

At £120 for 5 people (no drinks), not the cheapest, but certainly very good value.

Well worth the trip!

Well worth its no. 1 rating. The food was the highest quality, and very well served. A little more expensive than other restaurants in Arundel, but well worth it. Need to book in advance.
