A very nice welcome from the staff upon arrival. We were a bit early so we had some lunch while our room was prepared. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. We were shown to our room and it was lovely. Natural wood smell, newly refurbished and a really nice decor. The bathroom was a bit small and didn't have a bath which for an executive room I would have hoped it would have one as I prefer the choice. But not a big deal, I will specify a room with bath if we return. There was a great choice of teas, coffee, hot chocolate in the room. Nice to have the bathrobe and slippers as well. We had a wedding to go to but would loved to have had dinner at The Swan, the restaurant is also very nice. We had a very good nights sleep, it was very quiet and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast is exceptional and again the staff were brilliant. I would say this has to be one of the best stays we've had. The service was excellent as was the whole experience. Lots of little touches that make a big difference. Arundel is such a lovely town as well. We would have loved to stay another night. Highly recommended!

Room Tip: Ask if you can have a room with a bath if you prefer this.

This is a lovely place.
Staff are extremely friendly, polite, knowledgeable and helpful.
We arrived too early to chek in but they were happy to take our luggage.
Some beautifully designed and well thought-out rooms above a busy but peaceful pub.
The main radiator in our original room wasn't working so they were happy to put us in a different room, that was actually better than the first one.
Huge bed and luxurious bathroom.
Apparently, some other guests were making too much noise, though we hadn't noticed, and the staff had sorted that out.
Breakfast served by a brusquely cheerful lady (you know what I mean), whom I suspect is the boss, and the breakfast is top class.
Was amused at check-out when asked, "So the heating didn't work, you had to change rooms and there was noise from the couple next door.......but did you enjoy your stay?"
Definitely worth a visit and Arundel is a beautiful little place, though beware that the castle is closed on Mondays most of the time

Room Tip: I doubt you will be disappointed by any room

Beautiful pub and stylish rooms.

At our arrival at 5 pm, the room was not ready yet, and we had to wait for 30 minutes, which was a bit annoying. The family room is nicely decorated, but far to small for 4 people. The sofa bed for the kids hardly fits in the room.

Dinner in the cosy pub was great, and the breakfast was extremely good, with a wide range of choice.

The hotel was comfortable, the service was excellent and the food was tasty and well presented.

I secured an online deal for £60 per night inc breakfast, which made my stay remarkable value for money.

My only word of caution is that it is an "Inn" and not a fill blown "Hotel", so don't expect Hilton-like 24 hour service levels. Having said that, the standard of service was top class.

I would definitely stay there again, whether it was for business or pleasure.

A beautiful hotel that is newly renovated. The rooms are beautifully presented and very comfortable. I was visiting from Australia for a wedding and the staff were so accomodating and welcoming. They really went above and beyond for their guests and made our stay very enjoyable and memorable. The entire hotel was booked by guests of the wedding and nothing was too much trouble. Would love to visit again and highly recommend anyone visiting Arundel, which in itself is a beautiful township, to stay at the Swan.

Room Tip: All rooms are newly renovated (4 months ago from October 2012) with some smaller than others. They...

Nice hotel in the center of Arudel. Nice rooms and a good size, We stayed in room 6 and although sited on the corner of the hotel overlooking the road was very quiet.Staff very good and attentive and an excellent breakfast with a good choice. We also used the restaurant one night and although fairly limited choice was also good. There are a large number of places to eat in Arundel within very short walk so the competition ensures a reasonably high standard.
Minor gripes with the plumbing/heating - being an old building had not been refurbed to the extent of the interiors - so heating didnt work in the bedroom - this was quickly resolved by the staff and electric heater and the shower wasn't particularly effective. Tip for the hotel - dirty trays/plates left in corridor from room service need to be cleared quicker - one room had tray outside door when we went out on Sunday night, was still there at breakfast and was still there when we checked out the following day and as corridors fairly narrow was a bit of a hazard. There is car parking at the rear of the hotel in the 'pay & display' but is a bit expensive £7/day but there is restricted free parking in the street available free overnight from 4pm - 10am and all day Sunday - restricted Mon - Sat to 1 hour between 9am - 5pm. Access to rooms via fairly narrow stairs/corridors - so not particularly disabled/inferm friendly. Overall an excellent and relaxing weekend stay inArundel.

Room Tip: Access to all rooms is via narrow stairs/corridors - be aware if have large bags or any imobility
