The Flying Fortress
Reviewed October 9, 2012

My 5 year old daughter recently went to a party here. She had a fantastic time, climbing all over the giant plane shaped frame. The hosts were friendly, the party food was hot and well served, the drinks were replaced when they ran out. However...

The place is a giant industrial unit, internally clad in nhs blue plastic, with folding plastic chairs and tables for parents. The toilets are OK, the cafe is OK (I've had better coffee!) but there is literally nowhere comfortable for parents to sit!

The other slightly frustrating thing was that over 5s aren't allowed on the bouncy castle, but are allowed on the trampolines. So my daughter was chucked off the bouncy castle but told that the trampolines were closed - cue one unimpressed little girl!

It is also quite difficult to find - so follow the brown signs carefully, especially from Arundel!

Great for children, but adults have to pay to enter, and they just sit and wait for the children, so I do think it could be free to enter for adults, because they then have to buy refreshments for children.

I've never liked the Flying fortress, the owner is always so rude to everyone. IT needs a good clean. The toilets always smell, and last time I was there the baby changing table had broke. The foods all deep fat fried freezer food, very basic, over priced, but the usual for any establishment catering for families. I won't go back here again if I can avoid it.

If I am honest I can't stand the smell of sweaty kids feet by the thousand however all such places have this as a side affect. From a kids point of view it is great though. The huge hanger has miles of tunnels on adventure play items for kids that will keep them entertained for hours. There is a coffee bar of sorts for the adults too and plenty of parking on site. They do kids parties and the kids will have a great time which is what it is all about at the end of the day.

Well all these indoor places are only OK -Kids enjoyed it though.Very un healthy meal options ....catering could be better-as parents are stuck there while the kids love to climb.
