“Little corner of paradise”

This was the best holiday rental place I have ever visited and the owner was the kindest! We were late arriving since the Sat Nav seemed to bring us by a bizarre route from our home near Henley and the traffic locally was awful due to the dreadful accident at Shoreham. But not only was she not cross but came out to find and greet us. So kind was she that my daughter immediately warmed to her and hugged her! My daughter then also found a little crocheted (Benjamin) bunny on the bed to welcome her when we went inside and was over the moon! I had forgotten to bring milk but need not have worried as there was the finest food in a hamper for us on our arrival and organic milk in the refrigerator. We had the best holiday even though the weather was awful as the accommodation was so cosy and gorgeous. The ever kind and thoughtful Michelle brought my daughter some DVDs to entertain her should she want to watch these rather than brave the elements! We will be going back as soon as we are able!

The moment you step through the large wooden doors which hide Benjamin Cottage and its wonderful garden from the road you can't be anything than charmed. A small path through your private garden leads to cottage, which is beautifully decorated and exceptionally well equipped. Everything you could possibly need was supplied and many special treats on top of that.
Michelle's attention to detail is outstanding, we cannot recommend Benjamin Cottage highly enough.

“Absolutely picturesque private cottage in stunning location”
Reviewed August 10, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Michelle was warm and welcoming and very helpful. The cottage exceeded our expectations. It was perfectly picturesque and felt completely private. It was like walking into one of George Clarke's amazing spaces with its twee little garden and clever layout. It was small but felt spacious. Michelle had thought of everything from face cleanser to maps and guides, to a breakfast basket with vegi options too! There were candles everywhere as well as bikes and picnic stuff to borrow. Perfectly located for all the sights including the jailhouse, castle, wetlands centre, and all the beautiful antique shops of Arundel. Also close to the river - lovely to cycle along. For pure relaxation, and luxury, this cottage was perfect, we would definitely go back. The whole place was absolutely spotless and decorated to a high standard. Can't imagine anywhere better to stay in Arundel, and reasonably priced too!

“Perfect romantic getaway”
Reviewed July 3, 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Everything about this cottage exceeded expectations; from the first glance of the awe inspiring Arundel castle, the surprisingly situated secret entrance to the cottage, the charm of the cottage itself and the friendliness and generosity of the owners.

I can't recommend this cottage enough, so much so that it has inspired my very first tripadvisor recommendation.

“Perfect in every way!”
Reviewed June 15, 2015 for a stay in June 2015

I cannot praise this little cottage enough! As soon as you enter the property from the white gates, you forget you're minutes away from the town center and feel as if you've stumbled across a secret garden. The cottage itself is so quaint and adorable, I definitely didn't want to leave. Michelle was the perfect hostess, and had thought of all the little things and more. The welcome basket of breakfast essentials was the loveliest touch and was really well equipped with local produce. Michelle and her husband were even kind enough to let us borrow their bikes to explore all Arundel had to offer. I would 100% recommend Benjamin Cottage to anyone looking to spend time in Arundel.

“Lovely romantic lodgings”
Reviewed April 20, 2015 for a stay in March 2015

The place was exactly as described. Kept in pristine condition and packed with lots of thoughtful and loving touches. House was in the center of the town and a few minutes walk from the castle, park with lake, and a river pub. Owners lent us their bikes which really made our break extra special. Wish all owners were as generous, concerned and capable of providing such a perfect experience.

As other guests have noted. The bed is on a mezzanine with access by stairs that resemble a ladder. So may not be suitable for guests with mobility issues, fear of heights or those needing quick access to the toilet.
