“Absolutely picturesque private cottage in stunning location”
Reviewed August 10, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Michelle was warm and welcoming and very helpful. The cottage exceeded our expectations. It was perfectly picturesque and felt completely private. It was like walking into one of George Clarke's amazing spaces with its twee little garden and clever layout. It was small but felt spacious. Michelle had thought of everything from face cleanser to maps and guides, to a breakfast basket with vegi options too! There were candles everywhere as well as bikes and picnic stuff to borrow. Perfectly located for all the sights including the jailhouse, castle, wetlands centre, and all the beautiful antique shops of Arundel. Also close to the river - lovely to cycle along. For pure relaxation, and luxury, this cottage was perfect, we would definitely go back. The whole place was absolutely spotless and decorated to a high standard. Can't imagine anywhere better to stay in Arundel, and reasonably priced too!

“Perfect romantic getaway”
Reviewed July 3, 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Everything about this cottage exceeded expectations; from the first glance of the awe inspiring Arundel castle, the surprisingly situated secret entrance to the cottage, the charm of the cottage itself and the friendliness and generosity of the owners.

I can't recommend this cottage enough, so much so that it has inspired my very first tripadvisor recommendation.

“Perfect in every way!”
Reviewed June 15, 2015 for a stay in June 2015

I cannot praise this little cottage enough! As soon as you enter the property from the white gates, you forget you're minutes away from the town center and feel as if you've stumbled across a secret garden. The cottage itself is so quaint and adorable, I definitely didn't want to leave. Michelle was the perfect hostess, and had thought of all the little things and more. The welcome basket of breakfast essentials was the loveliest touch and was really well equipped with local produce. Michelle and her husband were even kind enough to let us borrow their bikes to explore all Arundel had to offer. I would 100% recommend Benjamin Cottage to anyone looking to spend time in Arundel.

“Lovely romantic lodgings”
Reviewed April 20, 2015 for a stay in March 2015

The place was exactly as described. Kept in pristine condition and packed with lots of thoughtful and loving touches. House was in the center of the town and a few minutes walk from the castle, park with lake, and a river pub. Owners lent us their bikes which really made our break extra special. Wish all owners were as generous, concerned and capable of providing such a perfect experience.

As other guests have noted. The bed is on a mezzanine with access by stairs that resemble a ladder. So may not be suitable for guests with mobility issues, fear of heights or those needing quick access to the toilet.

“A Benjamin Bunny Hop from the Town”
Reviewed March 31, 2015 for a stay in March 2015

My husband and I stayed in this beautiful hidden Gem of a cottage in Arundel situated in the back garden of Arun House.
The cottage is fitted out to a very high standard and immaculately clean. Michelle, the hostess is very pleasant and leaves a fruit bowl, shortbread, bacon, eggs, bread, milk, yoghurt, butter, jam and juice for your breakfast.
The pretty garden is ideal for sitting out enjoying a glass of wine, totally private from the main house.
Dvd's and a television are in the property and books on local walks. The cottage is very close to the centre of the town and the shops/restaurants a two minute walk away.Parking was easy outside the house but I expect in the summer could be tricky as parking in Arundel is limited.
The only negative is the steps to the mezzanine level where the bedroom is are extremely steep and would not suit elderly guests, otherwise I would thoroughly recommend this property.

I would thoroughly recommend this cottage for a weekend away for a couple.

“Could not have been more perfect”
Reviewed March 25, 2015 for a stay in March 2015

My partner and I booked a little weekend break at Benjamin Cottage and it was absolutely PERFECT. The cottage was immaculate and Michelle had thought of everything you could possibly want or need for a relaxing weekend break. We totally fell in love with how beautiful and homely the little cottage was and are already planning our next visit.
