Lovely place to visit. The castle dominates the sky as you enter Arundel. Immaculately kept with a great atmosphere it is an exciting place to visit. The gardens are immaculate.

It was pouring down so we saw little of the gardens but that did not detract from our visit. The house was amazing and a testament to the Howards for keeping it, and keeping it intact, for the past 500 or so years. We understand that although the public may view the castle, it is used by the family during the winter months as their home. Everything appeared well looked after, rather like an heirloom, and there was a lot of armoury, family portraits and furniture which made the castle more of a home.
Yes, it was a little expensive to visit, but it was very worthwhile and we enjoyed the best part of a day viewing the castle. Given a nice day we think there are several hours which could be well spent in the gardens too.

The gardens were an unexpected treat. What used to be a parking lot has been turned into a beautiful series of gardens, fountains, and striking landscape features. The staff was very helpful, particularly the gentleman with the golf cart transport vehicle. Having lived and gone to college in Anne Arundel County in Maryland, this was of particular interest to me.

This place is a MUST see! So beautiful, Classy , Royal...and everything in between. The admission is very affordable and yu can have a really great time ecploring the beauty. The weather in our visit wasn't that great, but this shouldn't stop you, because you will be inside the castle. The gardens are amazing and in general rhe History is overwhelming and breath taking.Haghly recomended!!!

Visited Arundel castle & gardens last weekend. The ticket price seemed high but turned out to be well worth it. We opted for the highest price gold plus ticket so you can see everything. We took nearly 2 hours wandering round the excellent gardens & chapel before even visiting the castle. Castle had some great views and a lot of useful information. The guides were all very friendly & knowledgeable. We even visited the restaurant for coffee and cream tea. Having gone for the gift aid option we had money off for this which ended up proving very cheap and the staff were very helpful & friendly
