What a great day we had the gardens are fantastic loved the fountains. There is a little zoo with small animals as well. £1 to get in that. We also visited the keep which was an extra charge but a display of shooting and swordmanship was going on as well. Which was very good after the long climb up the steps.

The admission charge is confusing with extra charges and discounts against food & drinks. You pay for what you want to see.

The majic fountain with the crown is very worth while seeing.

It could be much simpler.

The castle itself is wonderful and the grounds could be really rather special, unfortunately on our visit it wasn't.

The rose garden had no roses and large parts of the grounds were bare. Maybe it was the wrong time of year.

I would not recommend going for the gold plus ticket as it can get expensive, almost £40 for two adults, the bedrooms whilst nice were not exceptional.

The staff on the whole were very helpful.

Arundel is a beautiful castle with wonderful grounds, full of history. It does cost to get in but you can choose an amount to pay, obviously the more you pay the more you get to see but it is good value for money. The volunteers are all very helpful and polite, although you are not allowed to take photographs inside the castle you can in the Fitzalan Chapel and of course in the grounds. There are benches scattered around the grounds where you can just sit and relax and soak up the atmosphere. It is well worth a visit, they do special events as well, when we went it was a display of civil war costumes and weaponry. Im sure we will go back again.

Absolutely lovely walk and the castle is amazing. Very nice day out. You need to spend a few hours there to get to see all of the castle and the gardens. It does cost you to get in though

Great day out! The grounds are fantastic and after you can have a great cream tea in town. The castle is closed in winter I think but gardens always open.
