“a SHAME”
Reviewed October 21, 2013

What a shame TGI Fridays used to be such a lovely place to go, attentive staff, lovely ambience, good food. It has become dated, frumpy old-fashioned, such a shame.

“Gone downhill far too much”
Reviewed October 19, 2013

Its been some 15 years since I last ate here. Back then it was fantastic service, entertaining barmen and great food.
I came here last week, and its starting to look scruffy and tatty these days. The staff are VERY thin on the ground, resulting in unacceptable delays between being seated, being served drinks and having an order taken.
The menu is pretty much the same from those bygone days, as is the cocktail list.......no complaints as its generally regarded as a 'winner', but my food, when it eventually' arrived was dry from over-exposure from a hot servery lamp.
No follow-up from the waitress to see if it was OK, and I left most of it. Overpriced and with other competition out there, I'd have thought this once-great company would raise its game to ensure regular customers return.....sadly, not!
Well, it'll probably be another 15 years before I come here again. A poor show.

“Long wait but worth it!”
Reviewed October 13, 2013

We have never beed to tgi's before. When we arrived we was told the wait would be an 1 and a half hours we decided to wait as we wanted to try it out and half expected to wait on a saturday night. It then took just over an hour to be seated and was very happy about this. The waitress was very friendly and once we had ordered did not take long to bring out our food which was amazing. I would definatley come back here again.

“Another faultless experience at a TGI's in the UK....”
Reviewed October 1, 2013

We ate at the TGI's just outside Coventry on the way back from a holiday in South Wales. It was just after lunchtime, around 1.30pm and there were a few tables being used but it wasn't busy.
Service really was top class, nothing was too much trouble for our server. When the food came, again it was brilliant and my faith has been restored in the TGI's brand in the UK. I had the Smokehouse Burger and sweet potato fries (with a side of awesome onion rings) and my Wife had the Chicken Alfredo pasta and garlic bread. Food was hot and very tasty. We opted for the Popcorn Brownie Sundae to share for dessert which ended an excellent meal and experience.

Cost of meal for two was about £40, not bad at all for the amount of food we ate.

Highly recommended.

“Service? Service? Service?”
Reviewed September 28, 2013 via mobile

Awful experience from walking in the door to leaving. The staff are too wrapped up in having fun, chatting and doing TGI things than actually serving customers. We waited 20 mins to attempt to be served drinks then walked out when another couple said they had been waiting even longer.

Why don't you just employ some waiters to deal with customers and circus staff to entertain people.

We went to f&b and got great service. Won't be back to tgi.
