From the moment you arrive the backdrop of a working farm with a beautifully preserved historic building is a visual delight.

Rose was a great host and managed to fit us all (2 adults, 2 kids) in one big room with ensuite bathroom. We used this location as a base for a couple of nights and visited a friend in Nuneaton and Warwick Castle (tip - book the castle tour online and save some money and very long queues when you arrive...you can skip to the front this way).

Rose's breakfasts were supreme and cooked to order with generous fresh servings of cereals & fresh fruit.

Would definitely re-visit if we get to Coventry again.

We like to think we are family friendly. There is plenty of activities in the area for children and their parents to enjoy so why not book for the October half term.

If you like old historic buildings with lots of oak beams, then this is the place to stay. We had a lovely weekend here. The room was large and spacious, with all the usual facilities. The en-suite, with a bath, was also very large. 'Rose' was very welcoming and friendly, and provided lovely breakfasts, with a splendid choice. I would definitely recommend this B&B.

Thank you for your positive comments. The historical nature of the house has always been a good selling point. Other guests like yourselves have also enjoyed staying in a property that has so much structural character and age.

I booked this place back in January to stay for twonights when it was the Bruce Springsteen concert. Rose and her husband are both so welcoming. The room w as all set up and ready for us to stay and was beautiful. We had a private bathroom with the luxury of being able to have a relaxing bath. The breakfast was fantastic and nothing seemed too much trouble. A very homely set up within a gorgeous, well kept house wuth beautuful gardens.

My wife and I spent only 1 night (May 26, 2013) at the Barnacle Hall. It was wonderful and a very relaxing place to be. The central part of the home was built in the mid-1500's. It is on a beautiful, working farm in the country. Rose was a great host and served a super breakfast the morning we left. We were on a very tight schedule and unfortunately could not stay more than one night. We've got to find a way to return.

Everything you would wish for when staying near Coventry and the Warwickshire countryside. All amenities of a very high standard, fantastic food, friendly welcome (and in our case welcome back). The visitors' lounge is particularly comfortable and we were able to spend our evenings there with our friends. Travelling from Surrey, Suffolk and Powys (Mid-Wales) we didn't consider meeting up anywhere else the second time - it really is that good!

Room Tip: All rooms are of the same large size with excellent facilities.

Don't even think about staying anywhere else. If, like me, you like to check out a few different places before reaching a decision about where to stay, you really can stop looking now. Barnacle Hall has everything you need and you will really enjoy your stay. The rooms are huge, absolutely beautiful, spotlessly clean, and incredibly comfortable. Rose makes you feel at home straight away and tries to anticipate everything you might need. It was snowing when I stayed and so I didn't venture out into the gardens but I imagine that in the summer it would be lovely to sit outside. For the winter, there is a cosy guest lounge with a real fire. Breakfast was delicious: lots of choice and really tasty and well cooked food. I genuinely believe that Barnacle Hall is the best place I have stayed and I'll definitely return next time I am in the area.
