“Very Good Stay”
Reviewed August 26, 2014

Stopped here for the second time. Stopped on the third floor - which wasn't a great view as before but it was ok. Used the on-site car park - which was easily accessable and very well priced at £5.50 for the stay. Receptionists were friendly and gave us clear instructions should we need anything and time to check out. Spoke to another member of Staff called Kieron, who asked if there was anything he could help us with, getting a drink/something to eat. We had just eaten so declined, but he told us that if there was anything that we wanted to ask him. He then showed us to the lift and advised us exactly where our room was. Very pleasent and polite and a credit to the hotel staff.

When we got into the room, the room was clean and tidy. The shower made a bit of a noise and the TV was ridiculously positioned - but other than that we had a pleasant night and a good nights sleep. There was a function going on, on the floor below us, but that did not bother us at all.

The only downfalls of this hotel were the positioning of the TV and the lift - which is possibly the slowest moving lift on the planet!

Very small complaints in the scheme of things though - other than that thouroughly impressed with this hotel!

We stayed at his hotel the weekend of the 8th-10th August for a craft fair in Stoneleigh park. Found the hotel ok with the sat nav but was very disappointed with its surroundings. When I arrived in reception to ask about disabled parking was told there was a multi storey next door and was to park there. Was not at all expecting this so argued that there was no way would I be parking in there with a disabled husband (my husband is wheelchair bound). They eventually let me park at the front of the hotel, which I did do for the 2 days we were there. Was not offered any assistance with our luggage. The room was a good size with a good size disabled bathroom with a walk in shower. Although had to move the beds each time my husband wanted to go to the bathroom. The breakfast was good although the waitresses seemed to be a bit put out that we did not want coffee with our breakfast. We did not eat dinner in the hotel instead we went to Taybarns in Conventry.

Room Tip: Don't stay here if you don't mind leaving our car in the multi storey next door.

My partner and I stayed here for the night in July. The entrance was rather confusing as there's no signs or anything for the lifts etc. The room was nice and very big but the walls in the hotel is very thin. We could hear the couple next to us . For the money we paid was to much as it's all basic really. When checking out it was literally a hand over the key and see you later. The bloke didn't ask how the stay was or anything.

The Ramada Coventry is a very comfortable hotel after a long day of travelling. The rooms are spacious and clean. The restaurant is functional without being gourmet. It is air conditioned, which is good considering the windows don't open! All in all a good solid hotel for an exceptionally good price.

stayed for one night whilst going to watch a show at the LG/NEC arena. Great base as only one train stop away to Birmingham international for £2.40 return and Coventry train station is walking distance from the hotel.
Parking at the hotel was £5 for 24 hours.
We paid £59 plus the parking for a double room which in comparison to other hotels nearer the NEC is great.
It was our wedding anniversary during our stay which I mentioned to reception staff in an email a few days before. We were very pleased to find out we had been upgraded to a huge suite with bath robes, slippers etc free of charge. When we got to our room there was also a card, a bottle of wine and a fruit platter on the dining table. I thought this was a really lovely touch. Thank you to the lovely staff for doing that.
Defo worth staying here for Coventry city visits or NEC arena.
