“Friendly and clean”

Staff at this Premier Inn were exceptionally friendly, the room was clean and comfortable and the single bed was a proper bed (unlike another budget hotel we stayed at who gave kids a grotty, rock hard sofa bed).

The hotel is fine. But TGI's is too limited a menu, too noisy and too expensive. The system was down on arrival at check in but I guess that's nobodies fault. This print your own invoice is a bit irritating also

TV...a good sized one! At last a telly that is up to date.
Only came across this a couple of times at Premier Inns, Lord knows why all the hotels don't have decent sized TV's it makes all the difference, after all it's not cheap to stay at one.

Room Tip: Good sized TV folks..size does count !

Stayed here for good locality for a meeting the following day, larger than normal Premier Inn, plenty of on-site parking, very friendly and helpful check-in, good size room with large flat-screen TV and plenty of channels. Avoided TGI Friday's for our evening meal as it was heaving and ventured over the road to the Fayre & Square branded pub. Had breakfast at the neighbouring TGI Friday's which, although all you can eat, was not great quality for £8.25. Only gripe with the hotel was the stairs and corridors stank of cigarettes, maybe from smokers standing outside the hotel and wafting through. Would use again for reliable Premier Inn standard.

I have stayed at this premier inn many times over the last months. The staff are friendly. I have had no complaints. Rooms, good lighting, great beds, clean bath rooms. Perfect. Morrisions is a two minute walk, opens at 8am to late. TGI Fridays is on the door step, and a pub opposite the Cocked Hat also a hotel. I still like to try others nearby (only on price) apart from that - its fine

Room Tip: ask for a room overlooking the car park (quiet side of the building)

The hotel is well positioned just off the A46 to the east of Coventry. Rooms are spacious, clean and warm in winter. Our room overlooked the A46 but it had secondary double glazing that kept the noise out very effectively. Two down points:
In summer it would be necessary to open the window so raod facing rooms would get traffic noise - there is no air conditioning - not at this price.
Breakfast is served in TGI Friday's next door. It is a bit cramped for space so when checking in you have to pick a time slot for breakfast.
Also TGI Fridays is great for eating in the evening, good service and lots of atmosphere BUT at breakfast the serving area is small and everything kept running out, we had a 10 minute wait to get a coffee, they ran out of clean bowls, plates and coffee mugs.
I like the firm beds and get a good nights sleep at Premier inns but others find the beds too hard.

Room Tip: In summer ask for a room overlooking the car park

We have stayed at many Premier Inns in the past but this was our first visit to this particular Inn. Registration at the reception desk was very efficient and the room we were allocated was large, with very comfortable bed and even sofa on which to sit and watch the large screen television. The shower was excellent and very refreshing after a whole day's walking around the NEC. We did experience a minor problem at breakfast on our first morning when the staff of the TGI Fridays (where breakfast is served) failed to open the restaurant on time and so all guests were delayed. Also, if /TGI Fridays is not a restaurant to your liking for an evening meal there is a very good restaurant (The Cocked Hat) over the road opposite within easy walking distance. I'm only marking the sleep quality down because at 04.20 on our second morning everyone was awakened by a false fire alarm, for which apologies were offered by the management, with a refund if requested.

Room Tip: We were allocated a room along the side of the car park but were not disturbed in any way by outside...
