“Dual Carriageway”
Reviewed October 3, 2012

Hotel and Staff are of High standard, I stayed in Room 33 an annex away from the reception and main building, It was Clean, Comfortable, Cared for (The 3 "C's") It was on the first floor up metal steps and staging, so you could people come and go, In front was good views of open land with golf course, and two car parks, (The Main car park and the annexes) The room had two single beds an easy chair, FS Television, writing desk, draws and wardrobe, good lighting with an electric wall heater that was fast at heating up, The Bathroom was modern with WC / Sink and Shower, Good Mirror, (No Bath), I ordered room service, this was prompt (25 mins) and gave value and taste, The Breakfast was in the main building and was good quality, with a good open view of the golf course and grounds, The Only downside was getting to the location, from the A45 Dual Carriage way, (coming from the North after the hotel use the slip road to the left, under the dual carriage way and back on yourself) Wrongly I presumed a roundabout so took the RH Lane and missed the slip road then had a detour of 8 miles) The backlash of this in the morning to travel to Coventry I had to rejoin the Dual carriage way North to again come back on myself putting 3 or 4 miles on a journey)

Room Tip: Plan your route, to take in the Dual carriageway issues, The annex's are next to the dual carria...

Sheets threadbare, baby's cot was available but don't have suitable bedding. Room service is stated as full room service available 24 hours but in actual fact you can only have a sandwich after 9pm. But then room service order is forgotten. Room size poor. No lift for pushchairs had to carry up and down stairs for 2 days. Overall I'm afraid very poor and I wouldn't recommend or visit....

Recently stayed with a party of fellow golfers at this hotel through a golfbreak.com booking. The accommodation and food were all to a high standard and the staff were very helpful from the waitresses, reception through to bar and golf staff.
The golf course is really enjoyable, although the greens are very diffcult due to the amount of slope on many of them. This led to a few frustrating but amusing moments when putting. The course itself was in really good condition and there are some challenging holes. Not a course for the big hitters though as there are many short holes, inclduing the the first three par threes, which caused a bottleneck on the Saturday afternoon. My only slight criticism would be the lack of signs around the 4th/17th tees - we had to ask directions to work out which tee was which as these holes did not even have yardage/SI signs. . Overall though I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Stayed for one night in September 2012 for a family wedding.

No real problems - room clean and comfortable with standard bathroom and lovely view over the golf course; buffet breakfast nice in lovely restaurant again with great view (although plates were whizzed away quickly so no chance for second helping!!); staff friendly, helpful and professional.

We were in room 201 and the noise from the function room was loud (music til 1am); however, we presume we were allocated that room as we were guests at the wedding taking place there so were okay with the noise but maybe others wouldn't be!

Had a quick look at the pool; was a decent size and looked great. Cellar bar is open to public and very relaxing with smart decor and good layout allowing for both intimacy and larger groups at same time.

Great stay; would return.

Room Tip: quieter rooms (i.e. away from function rooms) are on the top floor (room no's 30-, etc) at the f...

The room was quite standard, spacious and the bathroom was lovely. The hotel itself is presented neatly and tindy. It is difficult to find as the satnav takes you the long way to get there. Unfortunately there were two weddings on at this venue during my stay, neither of which i was advised about during booking or upon arrival. This meant a great deal of noise from the venue until past midnight as well as disturbances from the guests including guests parking in my rooms allocated space which meant i had to park the other side of the complex and vomit outside my room upon waking. In addition the breakfast served the next morning was questionable. Generally I think this hotel would be quite pleasant ... except for the wedding!

Room Tip: Avoid rooms near the main complex as this is where the weddings are held

Used this hotel as a base for visiting Coventry as surrounding area. Reception staff pleasant when booking in. We asked for a change of room so that we could overlook the golf course, this was done with no problem. The room was a little on the warm side but was no problem as we could open the window.

We used the leisure facilities on the first day and found the staff to be pleasant and helpful, the pool was a little on the dark side.

We took evening meals in the Fairways restaurant. The first evening Sunday was a lovely meal and the service was fine, however they had ran out of steaks, but this was no problem, the food was very good and nicely prepared and presented. The meal on Monday night however was slow and we had to ask where our main course was. Again once the food arrived it was very good. There were a few more people in on Monday night but nowhere near full. Breakfast was a bit hit and missa, tables not cleared very quickly and you were left to wonder which tables were available. Disappointed to find no cold meats or cheeses available. Could not comment on the cooked breakfast as this was not taken.

We ordered a newspaper for both mornings which did not arrive. We were told that they had not been delivered to the hotel. Most unsual, we were left to wonder is this a regular thing.

The fact that the hotel is on a dual carriage way does make it difficult but the reception staff were happy to advise.

Small things but could be easily put right.

In all a nice stay and would stay again.

We stayed here as a free night after getting married at their sister location National Motorcycle Museum. The room was ok but bed was very soft and I did ask them to change the covers again as they smelled bad. Noisy corridors at night as people come and go and slam their doors - did not get a wink of sleep. Breakfast was a cattle market with items not replaced quickly enough and the staff not delivering when asked. Swimming pool and sauna were nice but spa pool was cold.
OK for a free night but I'm sure there are better places to stay in the area.
