We tried this restaurant last night for the first time after purchasing a Groupon for it last week. From originally booking the table right through till we left the restaurant, we were not disappointed in any way. The telephone booking was quick and efficient, and we were pleasantly surprised with the bright and contemporary décor on arrival. Seating, drinks and poppadum’s quickly followed, the tables were not crowded and it lead to a good eating experience.
Our orders were taken after about 10 minutes, so long enough to go through the menu, but not too long, and then the excellent food arrived fairly quickly. Although we were asked if we were ready for it, just in case we wanted a bit more time. The food was well presented, with very warm plates, which is always pleasing. There were 4 of us, and we all ordered different dishes, which all looked distinctly different.
The quality of the food was very good, and the quantity about right, as I have a healthy appetite. I have eaten at many Indian restaurants around the country, and this ranks highly in that list and would have been good value for money even without the Groupon.
Overall a great eating experience, and my recommendation on what to have is as follws;-
Anarkali (Hot on request) £9.95
Off the bone, whole breast of chicken, stuffed with minced lamb and fried in butter. Then cooked in a special medium spicy sauce.
Mushroom Rice £2.95
Keema Chilli Nan £2.95
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!!
