Parish C of E church which dates from 12th century and still standing and lookin' good. Of particular interest is the Doom painting dating from early 1400s and restoration completed in 2004, the stained glass windows, and the Tall Chair occupied by the Bishop from Bonnie Scotland who was not allowed to step foot on the church ! ...etc
Very nice ladies in attendance to do what it says on the outside board - give you a warm welcome.
Another gem in this interesting city.

This is a factor of how some of the city of Coventry was razed to the ground by incendiary bombs in 1940 but this church was one of the survivors.Remarkably this church was not damaged during WWII and is very beautiful. Amazing stained glass windows. Intricate detail in sculptures and altars throughout, Wooden vaulted ceiling over part of the church. Immense organ. The great window is most impressive. Be sure to read about it to appreciate it more. Everything about this church is magnificent! Go to the cathedral too, but be sure not to miss this Gem! Inside is the splendid medieval Doom painting and is well worth the visit There are books available to purchase regarding the history. Also if you get chance visit St. Mary's Guildhall nearby another survivor of the bombing and a jewel to visit to see another place where Mary Queen of Scots was imprisoned. Staff/volunteers are friendly and informative.
