“I love Memorial Park!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 30, 2013

I regularly visit here for gentle walks and other fun activities. Its fun even on cold days. Good facilities and ample parking. It is usually me and my husband who go, we sometimes take a picnic with us which is even nicer. In spring / summer, the flower beds are really pretty.

I recently took my friends two young children (4 and 5 yrs) for a visit and they loved the playground - see-saws, swings, etc, and also the opportunity to generally run / muck around (as kids do).

On a recent visit, I discovered the Park's new Visitor Centre. This needs to be made more vibrant and also needs to publicised a bit more - it seemed very quiet. However it had a few nice bits of history. Also it has community rooms which are available for hire. Other facilities include cafes and golf and tennis coaching. Special events include some sort of heritage motor show - which is excellent. I also know of university students (both Coventry and Warwick) organising student events in the Park - I have not attend any of these but the reviews are that if the sun is out and you are in memorial park with friends, then FUN is on the agenda.

This is the probably the best park in Coventry

“A pleasant hour”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 29, 2013

Regularly visit the park to walk for a hour, sometimes there are events on small & large. Don't have children so can't comment on playground other than not a lot of play equipment for younger children based on friends comments with children. Park is always nice and clean, toilet facilities are basic. Tennis and pitch & putt facilities available but not tried. Best to take own food & drink with you, one cafe by the toilets and although cheap, the eating area is not cleaned suffiently despite having a lot of staff available and they make it clear when it's closing time (not tried the other new cafe). Avoid the path down by the railway track as although it is tarmac'ed it is still too narrow and you end up walking in single file if in a group (if you are polite). Football grounds are open to the pathways so beware of the impolite children who can't control their footballs. Lots of parking spaces available.

“Good facilities”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2013

Good facilities and 24/7 open. Sufficient green space as well as walking alleys.

Downside: a bit far from the centre for walk and some alleys could use some repairing.

It was one of most best visit you have to had in Coventry.I visited on a saturday sunny day of summer with my all Masters classmates and it was soo refreshing expereince for everyone...
Best-it is fresh walkable, clean and large park.
You can go for dog walk there .
You can go with group of friends and family play a sport , laugh and relax.
You can go with your partner have snuggly romantic afternoon together eating and reading book together or simply listening to love songs together and feeling the fresh nature green park with flowers around you.
You an go alone to relax sit in quietly ,write , read ,play music, or just watch the greenary around you , birds, children and everyone having good smile will lift up your spirits.
cons- its little distant from city centre to walk but always reachable from train station or by car.

“Fun and free”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 17, 2013

The park is vast with plenty of free parking. There's an excellent play area to wear out the kids, a small skate park, tennis courts, football pitches and a cafe. It's a lovely area and great for dog walking and cycling along the long circular footpath around the park. A great place for a picnic when the weather is nice.
