Clean hotel, helpful friendly staff and enjoyable breakfasts. Plenty of free parking in hotel grounds and hotel location is good... Medieval Spon Street is about a 300 yard walk away and the entrance to Coventry's massive undercover shopping area is about a 600 yard walk away.

I stayed for two nights at this hotel whilst attending a training course at Warwick University.
My stay included breakfast and cost £60 per night.
My hotel room was basic but just what you required i.e clean, warm, tv, ironing board, ensuite etc
I had to have a bath as the shower was not powerful at all and even at full power the water just ran down the wall.
The reception staff were really helpful and the breakfast waitress was really attentive.
The hotel was like a ghost town, i saw only two other guests in the 2 days i was there.
I would also say for £60 per night it was a bit pricey, the Ramada hotel is about 5 mins away from the hotel and charges just about the same rate and its a bit more up market.
I never had my dinner at the hotel, preferred to go to a pub round the corner which served pub grub and showed the footie.
I would go back to the hotel but only if the rates were lowered a bit.

The hotel had no heating or hot water during the night on 2nd December and morning of 3rd December. I complained to the hotel staff who told me to take this up with expedia. I was told that they have been having problems with their boiler for a few days. If this was the case, why allow me to book and check into this hotel?. I overheard a staff member say they did not want to pay the £35 call out charge for a plumber as this was too expensive!! They are happy to take my money though.

In addition room allocated was noisy - i was told there is a quiet side and hotel could not explain why quiet rooms aren't allocated first - especially as hotel was not full. I did not see any other guests when checking in/out.

Other hotels in Coventry received fairly bad reviews but i thought this would be ok. I was wrong. Only £10 cheaper than the 4* Macdonald Ansty Hall which was much better (but further).

Me and 2 friends stayed at Aston court for my birthday in february, upon pulling up to the hotel it does not fill you with overwhelming confidence with the 70s style exterior but as you enter reception that dramatically changes, for a 3star hotel it is more than adequate.
My only gripe was with the distasteful barmaid who quite blatantly couldn't wait to get rid of us after 2 pre evening drinks.
The rooms are spacious and very clean the breakfast is nothing special but for £40 each you don't expect gourmet food.
i would most certainly stay again although not to visit the absolute dump that is Coventry.

Had an evening out and wanted room service as we hadn't eaten, it couldnt be done as there was a function on ! The kettle didnt work so no tea, the cold water tap gave out warm water so no glass of cold water. AS THEY SAY, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR, NOTHING MORE AND NOTHING LESS.
